  1. ___________________________________ Helluva deal! Thanks, for telling me! Chuck
  2. Bought - and running with a Pac750 __________________________________ That, is just too forking cool! Glad to hear it. Temple, as a DZ, has been around for a good while. Thanks! Chuck
  3. Isn't it nice to get the appreciation that we strive so hard for? __________________________________ You da' MAN! Chuck
  4. Has Temple re-opened? The last word I got was, Temple was up for sale. Chuck
  5. Unless that is, someone's feelings get hurt, or you say "coon", instead of "conda"... ________________________________________ I don't think, those fellas who set-up this country had in mind, being able to say 'anything' without being accountable for the words that come out of our mouths. I don't think they intended for someone to tell the 'president to go fuck himself', just because someone dis-agreed with the president. I believe, the idea was for us to be 'responsible' in regard to our rights. I think, a lot of it has been 'twisted' to 'fit-in' with someone's agenda. Chuck
  6. The country changed when we discovered that being able to eat, support our families, and take a vacation once a year just wasn't quit enough to satisfy us. This is the year 2006 and we want it all baby! The right to say anything without retribution (as long as it isn't about a subject that we personally consider to be politically incorrect). The right to say that we're being discriminated against (even if we don't have the same qualifications as everyone else). The right to burn the American flag (just because we hate America, even though we live here). The right to work and live in this country (even if we are doing it illegally). The right to be ashamed when one of our brothers or sisters waves the flag with passion. The right to complain about the government, and then never do anything to change it. The right to be a sheep. It isn't just us -vs- them, it's us-vs-us-vs-them-vs-us. _____________________________________ All that, without accountability or responsibility! We, have 'freedom of speech'! Chuck
  7. True - but there are a number of employers that do exactly that (in regards to paying under the table) because then they don't have to pay out unemployment insurance, income tax or anything else. _____________________________________ Exactly! Chuck
  8. I was in line at the bank the other morning and an obviously heavy smoker stepped-up behind me. i thought, i was gonna gag! His clothes reaked of cigarette smoke. Then it dawned on me... that was how I smelled before I quit. Public places that once allowed smoking, will smell of cigarettes for years. all that cigarette tar gets all over everything. Chuck

_______________________________________ Is that a short joke? Chuck
  10. Maybe they just want to be here and never really become an American. Maybe they want to take it back. ___________________________________________ The way we're selling our nation to foreign investors, it could get pretty weird! Chuck
  11. _____________________________________ Mine's working great! Chuck
  12. At the income levels we're talking about, sales tax is the primary form of taxation. And if they're using a phony SS number to get work, the employer is deducting income tax. If the workers don't file a return because they'll get caught, they'll almost certainly overpay on the income taxes. __________________________________ Too many 'if's' there. Besides, who's checking all this? You never know... there might be an illegal out there using your SS number, too! Not really, Chuck. The ifs just mean they're paying more taxes than normal. Otherwise, they're paying about the same as others in their income bracket. Anyone using my SS number must be very stealthy about it. _____________________________ I gotcha now! I appreciate your clarifying that for me. All in all, it's a real big mess and I doubt, we'll ever correct it. It's just gone too far too long. I'm anxious to see the out-come of the Senate on their final darft of the bill they are working on. Hell! For that matter, there might be an illegal using my SS number! Chuck Chuck
  13. They feel safe enough to murder American citizens and then cross back into their country knowing they will not be extradited. ___________________________________ That's been happening too. They also like to shoot at our folks from their side of the Rio Grande. Many of them join gangs, when they get here. It's all been on the news and in newspapers. Here in West Texas, illegals are breaking into rancher's homes and out buildings not just once but several times. Stealing anything that isn't welded down. Not being able to control who comes to this country, brings problems of various kinds. Chuck

  16. The difference is, that in the past, immigrants assimilated into the American culture. They learned to speak English, learned our civics, and so on. The immigrants coming into America now, demand that Americans cater to them, by not requiring them to speak English. They demand special multi-language printings of all government documents, and so on. They no longer want to assimilate and join our culture. They insist that our culture cater to theirs. And that's where they go wrong. ____________________________________ We are talking 'illegals', aren't we? They seem to be the one's who don't want to assimilate. They seem to be the one's who don't want to learn our language and stay amongst their own... where they feel safe. The folks that I know who are legal, don't seem to have a problem with learning our language and etc. They also, resent the illegals. Chuck Chuck
  17. this is true. i taught kids across the country regarding fire safety for 3 years, and was REQUIRED to have a spanish speaking crew member. the local teachers would most of the time NOT translate, so in effect, the kids were NEVER getting taught english, everything was taught in spanish. but hey, WTF do i know. _____________________________________ Kinda' makes you feel imposed upon, doesn't it? I equate that with going into just about any store and need some help in regard to a possible purchase only to be met with a distinct 'language barrier'. The store worker doesn't know what I'm talking about because they don't speak American. I don't feel as though I should have to learn their language to accomodate them. I think, it should be the other way around. Chuck
  18. >freeload off the social services ?? They pay taxes; why shouldn't they get services? If you made them exempt from taxes, then I would agree that they should not get any social services. But that's not the case. curry favor with voters. _______________________________________ The illegals pay 'sales tax'. They don't pay Federal income Tax because they fear being tracked-down and returned to Mexico. Those folks who come here 'legally', pay their taxes, yes! As for wanting Spanish taught in our schools to all students is not just among the politicians. There are 'rights groups' and other groups pushing for it. The politicians 'latched on' to the idea in hopes of promoting their own cause... 'self promotion'. Chuck
  19. __________________________________ ...pick-up sticks.
  20. __________________________________________ You are referring to those here legally, right? Like those folks who came through Ellis Island and those folks later who did it legally? If they are here illegally, they can get the hell out as far as I'm concerned. It seems as though, folks are confusing legals with illegals. To me, those folks here illegally give a (symbolic) slap in the face to those who went through all it takes to become a citizen the 'right way'. The illegals want the same rights and privilages of those who are legal citizens. That's wrong. Chuck
  21. ______________________________________ I don't kiss and tell! Chuck
  22. ____________________________________ That's the truth! All they have to do now is scream that they are 'victims of racial profiling!' I think, it's all a crock of crap but, with the power of all the 'rights' groups and the like, it just gets easier for the criminal and tougher for the cops to do their job. Chuck
  23. This 'incident' happened on a parking lot (private property). No police report of the 'accident' just the word of an 'eye witness'. I'm not familiar with California law but, places I know of, tickets aren't issued in regard to private property accidents (if, there is bodily injury or a fatility... different story) . A report can be taken by police for insurance purposes so vehicle damage can be repaired but, this whole story stinks to high heaven. I didn't see either, where any investigation was made as to damage to both vehicles or if, there is any evidence her vehicle did in fact, damage the other persons vehicle. Where did the figure come-up that the people paid for damages. There are a lot of questions here. Also, this 'eye witness' sees damage on the other vehicle and leaves a note. That damage could have been old damage. Wow! Keep us posted on this one. Chuck
  24. _____________________________________ According to the title on the cover of my Talon - 2 instructions it says "Talon / Flexon". The instructions are for both the Talon - 2 and the Flexon. Chuck
  25. I voted 'NO'. What we think is funny, may not be taken as such, by the person recieving the attack. I agree with those who said that it's real easy to hide behind a keyboard. You got something to say to me... say it to my face. I'll let you know, one way or the other, how I feel about the comment. It's impossible to see exactly how something is said over the net. Chuck
