As a Rigger during a reserve repack do you re-pack the main?

When I'm handed a 'complete' rig, all packed-up, I ask the owner if they would like me to go through the main, also. If, they say 'no', I lay the rig on my packing table, remove the main. I disconnect the main with weights across the risers. I then, go through the inspection and re-pack process. This also allows me to be sure that service bulletins have been or are done. When I'm finished, I re-attach the main and place it back in the container and close it. I have, done mains and I charge the same as for a reserve. I'm with Sparky on that one. I put the same work and effort into a main as I do a reserve so, I charge the same. I've really been lucky on re-packing mains. I've actually had folks ask me to show them how I packed it... they liked the opening. I'll take luck over skill, any day! Chuck -

We've been family. That's why this hurts. There is a true sense of community here and we have lost part of its heart and soul. Walt ______________________________________ I only knew Shannon from DZ.com but, every once in awhile, she'd respond to something I had posted and it made me laugh. She even started a thread about my use of commas! That, really got to me. That, was really neat and made me feel good and it made me feel accepted. Just a silly little thing like that and she probably had no idea how much it meant to me. What a sweet person she was. Chuck

That's awful! I'm just 'catching-up' after being away all week-end. Horrible news. She will be missed. How sad. I just recalled, I'd read her posts and she made me laugh. She brought a smile to everyone if not, a rib-splitting laugh. I think, God needed someone to bring him smile. Chuck

Their lawyers will "Fill up the paper bin" and "continue" this thing for years, they'll never do time. Personally, i just lost a boat load of $$$. Hundreds, if not thousands of others losts their livelyhoods. They workored there for years, and then one day was told "See Ya" that blows. ___________________________________ Like you said, they are paying their defense with your money as well as all the other good, trusting folks they ripped-off. I heard, what those two have paid for their defense! It seems to me, the govt., could confiscate that money like they do in drug cases and pay at least some of it back to those folks that lost their hard earned money to those sumbitches. In drug cases, as you know, the govt. can take homes, boats SUVs and the like. Seems like that could be done here too. It's a sorry damned deal. The big losers in this deal are still, the folks who lost everything. The victims usually are. Unless, y'all get together and file a civil suit!? Chuck
