Just when you thought OJ was starting to become an OK guy.....
masterrig replied to Muenkel's topic in The Bonfire
You make some good points. They can't try him for anything connected with the killings... double jeopardy! I'm with you, I wouldn't buy his stupid book, either. What really got me, during his trial was, the leather gloves. He couldn't get the dried, blood-soaked gloves on. Well DUH! Leather shrinks after being wet and after drying, they would really be a hassle to get on, anyhow. Everyone missed that. The response was... those gloves aren't his! They're too small! The prosecution, totally, dropped the ball and didn't have their case together. It's just too damned bad, people can't just totally, ignore the guy. No attention... No O.J! edit to add: Too bad, the trial wasn't in Texas! Chuck -
Well... that explains it! Of course, living in Colorado and all. When Forsberg and Roy were with Colorado, those guys were so good. I recall, during the play-offs one year, the Red Wing's goalie and Roy met at center ice and exchanged punches. When the Wings played Colorado, (I think, 2-yrs. later) in the play-offs, Osgood (for Detroit) and Roy, met at center ice and exchanged punches. When Hasek first played for Detroit, and the two teams met again, Hasek, hesitantly, headed for center ice to meet Roy and fell flat on his face on the ice. Roy's expression, was priceless. No punches got thrown. Chuck

Years ago, one of our jumpers, had an all red rig. He wanted an all black rig. Sooo, he got after the rig with black magic markers. Container, harness... all of it. The finished product was an ugly OD green. There wasn't a rigger around, who would touch it. Chuck

As far as Im concerned, anyone can fly any flag they want. If, I don't like it... I just won't salute it! Unless of course, it's a U.S. flag. About the only thing Pahrump has done is, give the ACLU a bit more fodder. Chuck

I think, you did the right thing. If, you can't feel 'comfortable' with the person caring for your kiddoes, find someone else... as you did. You are a responsible, caring mom who looks-out for her children's best welfare. You don't owe that gal a thing. Better this way than having to worry. Chuck

Do you have any idea, how little I care, what others think? Chuck -

I think, what is eating at O.J. is, he's guilty, been found not guilty and wants to admit to the crime... knowing, noone can do anything about it. It' kind of a 'nanner-nanner', suckers! I think, he's just an arrogant jerk who got away with murder. He had one helluva defense team and an over-confident prosecutor. Chuck -
The Pussification of Today's Youth: A Grue Rant

Maybe, that's why, my wife 'rolls' her eyes and leaves the room, when I clean my guns!? Chuck -
Big congrats, Lawrocket! That's just too cool! Chuck

Sounds to me like, she got the gold-mine and you, got the shaft! She's not worth the energy. Anger, will only fill your heart with hate. Chuck

May God Bless each and every one of them. Chuck

I think, what has always gotten me is, some folks look at tree covered mountains with a clear stream running at the base and admire the beauty and grandeur. Someone else looks at the same mountains and sees a huge resort and ski lifts. Yeah, it sucks. Chuck

As long as our population is growing at the rate it is, you can kiss the wide-open spaces good-bye. I've been back to where I grew-up and it's just like you described. All the little towns in 'the heartland' all look the same now. They all have Mickey-'D's', Wally-World, Home Depot and so-on. It's progress, man. Chuck

We see a lot of Sandhill Cranes during their migration, here in West Texas. It'd get real interesting at times, when they'd be in the landing area at the DZ! Chuck

Cattle hides, come from all breeds. Dairy cattle, too old to re-produce or give milk, are sold to 'chain' hamburger restaurants. For instance... to make one pair of cowboy chaps, takes 1/2 of a full-grown cow hide. The average leather recliner, uses real cow hide on the parts of the chair that touch the human body. The backs and sides are of man made materials. The back portion of the hide is the thickest part. Tapering down the sides of the hide to thinner. The back portion is used primarily. Chuck

________________________________________ To me, Nylon Cordura material, is the way to go. It is easy to clean and maintain and a bit more appealing to the eye. Para-pack, is shiny, smoothe 'finish'. Shows scratches more readily than Cordura. Para-pack, is easy to clean. Though, both, are very similar in tensile strength, Cordura, has a 'classier' look. Para-pack, seems to 'fade' in color from sun-light sooner than Cordura. I would suggest, getting some samples from a rigger at your DZ and compare the two. Visit with your rigger and experienced jumpers and gather all the information you can. Chuck

For an oil spot, 'spot' cleaning with varsol or charcoal lighter fluid, use a small amount with a soft bristled brush. A used, clean toothbrush works well. Work the spot, not harshly, with the brush and fluid. daub with a clean dry cloth. Turning the cloth to be sure to get any excess fluid. Let air dry. The varsol, charcoal starter fluid will not damage the material of the container flap or the stiffener. I've done this process many times with good results. The varsol, is an oil-based product as is the Nylon material used for the container. Chuck
