It's a free country, no-one is forced to be a cop. Cops do a great job of covering up their mistakes. The Jon Burge case in Chicago has been stonewalled by the Chicago Police Department for over ten years. _____________________________ You said it all in one word... Chicago! Chicago has a looong history of bought-off police, politicians, judges and etc. Just from the original post here, the arresting officer, did all he could to protect that kid. What do you expect of a police officer? That they stand-over someone 'just in case'? It's a real shame, that kid got himself drunk and did what he did. That cop, did all he could within the guidelines of his job. I get real tired of people always having to 'blame' someone else. If, that cop had locked the kid in the trunk for his 'own safety', this never would've happened. The cop though, would've been charged with 'cruel and unusual punishment' or some other ridiculous charge. Everybody's always loking for a loophole or a big settlement. People are just not willing to take responsibility for their own actions. Chuck Why does it have to be "hogtied" (JohnRich) or "locked in the trunk" (you)? Both are false dichotomies. How about locked in the back seat? The definition of a minor is someone who society does not yet consider to be responsible for his or her actions. _____________________________ What I'm getting at is, just how far do the police have to go to 'protect' someone in custody? I was being sarcastic about locking the kid in the trunk. Folks are real quick to knit-pick and condemn someone else for the job they did. Cops just aren't going to get a break! We don't know. Maybe, that cop decided the drunk kid would be all-right in the front seat. Maybe, his patrol car didn't have a 'cage' for the back seat. We don't know. We weren't there. I don't know how to take being put in the same category as John Rich! Chuck

Reminds me ofone of our jumpers, years ago. He ordered a new Talon. Rigging Innovations called him to check on 'colors'... he hadn't listed color choices. His response was... "Mix 'em up and make it ugly!" He definately got his wish! That rig was every color Cordura they had! Chuck

We agree! That's how I do it. Just like the book says. Good job, by the way! Chuck -
Everyone rails against torts and screams for tort reform, until they're the plaintiff, and they want the settlement. Then torts are the tools of the little guy against a govt monolith. ________________________________ I think, if, you were to really look at a good number of big settlements in lawsuits, you'd find that, a lot of them are frivilous but, juries award them! We live in a 'lottery' society. Get the right numbers and BINGO! You're a winner! I've been in situations where, I probably could have sued 'someone' but, I lookd at what I had done and saw where I had screwed-up. Not everyone looks at things like that, though. Chuck Chuck

Hard 90 Off Heading Opening on my Sabre 2
masterrig replied to Inthebuff's topic in Gear and Rigging
The way I deal with the nose is, fold the four cells on both sides of the center cell in and next to the center cell. I do not fold the cells into the center cells. I leave the center cell alone. No folds, rolls or oragami! I roll the tail about 3-times. I have packed my own Sabre-1, the same way and get great openings and no end cell closures. Chuck -
Considering a 1983 V-5 for a first rig..
masterrig replied to reinhart36's topic in Gear and Rigging
If it was me, I'd keep looking. The rig you mention is 23 - 24 yrs. There are many riggers who will not pack a reserve over 20yrs. old... me, included. Considering the money you would have to put into the rig for what you intend the rig for, you could get a better rig. I would say... keep shopping. I know, you want a rig but, patience will pay-off in the long run. Chuck -

I've seen this with other mains also, where the nose was rolled. Try packing it according to the manufacturer's (owner's manual) instructions. That's the way I pack them and have had no complaints. Just the opposite. Chuck -
Thank you Vinny, for what you are doing... for all of us. Keep your head and butt down... there is Patron waiting for you back home. Chuck

Soooo, he packed-up and went to India and got a job there... out-sourcing! He lived with an Indian family and the program showed all the ins and outs. Fairly interesting. They said, it was one of the best paying jobs in India. Chuck

Does this apply to blow jobs? Does the rule only apply with plastic forks? What about plastic sporks? Or real forks? Well now, I don't recommend any lady go and try this, but you can easily break the skin on the penis with a fork, plastic or otherwise. If you choose to try this on your man you are an evil bitch and I hope you die. That being said, if you take a look at it and it looks all leathery and shit like the Duke's face after 50 westerns... Then no, you should probably not put it in your mouth. ________________________________ Leather gets softer after you soak it insider! Chuck

Hell, no! I have had this discussion with many in the past, and I stand by my avowment that I wouldn't go anywhere near most of the skanks that get press these days. Knowing the diseases a guy would get, who in his right mind would touch the likes of a Pamela Anderson? Or a Carmen Electra? Just looking at a picture of Paris Hilton makes me want to go to a clinic for a shot. I don't mind women with experience. They know what they are doing. I loved women the way I loved guitars - they can't reach their potential until the've been broken in. Those demimondaines, however, are comparable to one of Pete Townsend's guitars after a Who concert. _________________________________ they probably have things you couldn't get rid of with kerosene and a wire-brush! I like the little blinkers. I don't care for the all white, all blue and etc. BUT, That's what makes it interesting at Christmas. The city my wife and I recently moved from would have 'Christmas light tours'. Routes where subdivisions had all their Christmas lights on display. Last year, for the helluvit, we drove around the tour. I kid you not... every house but 3, had all white lights! BOR-INGI'm glad noone was charging a fee for that tour. Chuck
