C*NTS If they like breaking rocks so much, there's a special place for them making bigger rocks into smaller ones.... Chain Gang After watching the video and reading their flimsy excuse for their outright vandalism, I think they are about as full of shit as a Christmas turkey. Chuck -
Once they get you to respond favorably to them they tell you you'll get a truck load of money. Just send them ten, twelve thousand bucks... to cover taxes and transfer fees, whatever. They get your money and you get nothing in return. They all seem to come from African Coastal towns. Chuck

From all I've read on the topic, there was a lot of pork from both sides! Obama care was passed without a single change. Both sides, being the opportunists that they are knew that Obama would sign it without question. Sen. McCain said that there was a lot of pork added to that bill and that it was disgraceful. Chuck

I hope they stick to their guns and do the job that we elected them to do. They stuck to their guns all-right! Boehner tacked-on a rider for a dam project in his home state of Ohio that was approved in 1988 for millions of dollars and nothing was done. Now, that same project will cost billions. All those politicians did was work-out a way to win mid-term elections. Chuck How did Boehner tack it on? The article I read said it came from the Senate that way and Feinstein claimed responsibility for it. I have been mis-informed and should've checked more before posting what I did. Chuck

When I first read the title, I thought it was short for 'vapor-locking'... which I have experienced once or twice! Chuck

A favor of that caliber is really nice to have in reserve too.

When they nominated Obama 12 days after he was sworn in for "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,".... It pretty much confirmed it was a joke. I'll bet that cost someone a pretty penny! Chuck

Seems that same thing has happened to weathermen all over the country.
-
Several years ago, there was a weatherman on a local t.v. station here in West Texas, who had gone to the emergency ward to get a gerbil removed from his butt. Seems, the little critter broke out of the balloon and was tearin'-up the maze. The last I heard, the weather guy moved to Austin and got a t.v. job where weirdness is more accepted. Chuck

In the photo with the story, I saw Mr. Shropshire's avatar! I learned about Banksy on Pawn Stars, too. Chuck

The way things are now, we're screwed, no matter how we vote. Rarely do third party candidates win. To me, voting third party is like not voting. The third party candidate, unless he is extremely popular is most likely to lose. Until something really drastic happens, we're stuck with what we've got. Chuck

And yet the people continually vote either Dem or GOP??? I don't get it, I also don't understand why people are so blindly loyal to such self serving rats (regardless of which party they're in). while the blind loyalty is part of it, there is more. The parties have rigged (the best term I can think of right now) the system to help keep these two parties in power. The process of getting signatures and getting on ballots is not simple, and that by design allows the two parties to stay in power Now, some of that complexity might be needed to keep the process from being overrun but, what these parties have done and its effect is overlooked much of the time You chose a good word for it... rigged! Just another way the politicians are certain of 'job security'. Chuck Of course it is "rigged". There is too much money involved for it not to be "rigged". There is a significant risk to creating a small group of incredibly wealthy people. The fear of a plutocracy is what makes people like Warren Buffet speak out about current taxation models. Which makes the standard reply of: Why doesn't he just send in more money, so silly. I see, what you're saying. Chuck

Just another way the politicians are certain of 'job security'. Chuck For some reason these bastards think they are owed a job They have forgotten they need to earn it Seems to me, this 'entitlement' thing has gotten way out of hand. Two senators from here in Texas are making a big deal in the media how they are not going to accept their paycheck during the shut-down. Letters refusing their paychecks were shown on local news here. How's that for politickin'? I'm sure, through their 'connections', they won't be hurting. Chuck
