___________________________ I wonder, what the survivors of the Holocaust think about that? They shoulda' kept that guy awhile longer. Chuck

I know quite a few people who advocate full legalization, but do not use drugs. Your brush might be a little too broad. Having said that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be able to utilize one's drug of choice, whether it be alcohol, cannabis, or anything else, without worry of arrest. There is no victim, except the person who ends up with a conviction. __________________________________ When you say "be able utilize one's drug of choice" "or anything else" and "There is no victim". I'd have to disagree. Have you ever been around anyone on crack or meth? A lot of drug users can't really afford the shit and so, they turn to car burglary, breaking into homes, whatever they have to do to get the money for more. In the end, there are victims. Those who got broken into and robbed. Not to mention the personality changes as a result of the crack or meth. Also, do you want to see people on their jobs all screwed-up on drugs? Folks driving around smoking weed, doin' crack and etc. If, someone wants to do a little weed, in their own homes, I don't see a problem. It's the fact that too many folks are going to take it too many steps farther. Chuck

I had one telemarketer call and ask; "How are you today, Sir?" I said; "Not good!" and proceded to tell him how my dog died, my wife left me, my pick-up got stolen, and so-on. He politeley responded with; "I'll call back another time!" and he hung-up! Chuck

I wonder, about these various diets and diet 'fads'. Growing-up, I was told to eat in moderation. That meant, to be sure to eat 'well rounded'. Veggies, red-meat, fresh fish, potatoes and etc. My Grandad ate that way all his life and lived to be 99. With him though, I think the secret to his longevity was 'two fingers' of Jack Daniels he had every evening after supper! Chuck

That probably has as much to do with "character" as it does strategy. No one was a bad guy to the eye of the final cast off, and both Yul and Ozzie probably realized that. I would have been happy with either Ozzie or Yul winning. They both played their strengths very well, but Yul did outplay the rest of the field. ___________________________________ Yul, definately out-smarted everyone! Ozzie, was pretty impressive with the challenges but, Yul, just 'out-brained' everyone. I was just impressed, with the way the final four handled things. Ozzie, was definately, the favorite. In the long run, he did win the vehicle so, he has a nice ride to the good surfing! Chuck

_____________________________________ Awwwwww... I don't know about that, I'll leave the 'adorable' part to you ladies! I'm glad, Ozzie won the car, too. I was really impressed with the 'character' of the final four. They 'set-up' a tie so they wouldn't have to choose. Chuck

As for the 'final four', any one of them could've won... as far as I'm concerned. All four, were really stand-up folks. I would kinda' liked to have seen Ozzie win it but, Yul, really 'out-witted'. It was a good show. Chuck

I've been wondering that, myself. Not that I think it is stupid but, it seems like the risks would be greater. I heard on the news earlier, temperatures were 24-deg. and winds get-up to 140-mph. I don't know much about mountain climbing but, that right there would fend me off. Also, the chances of avalanches. I'm sure, we'll get some climbers to inform us. Just heard, 1-climber has been found dead in a second ice cave. So sad. Chuck

Oh! You were finished? Well, allow me to retort... The path of the Frenchy is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil women. Blessed is Frenchy, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the chicks through the valley of dorkness, for he is truly his sister's keeper and the finder of lost loose change. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is Frenchy when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Damn it! _______________________________________ You on the absinthe again? Chuck

You guys should try living and working in a truly multi-cultural environment. It will really open up your eyes as to whether or not you're a racists, a part-time racist or someone who's open to multi-culturalism. Since moving back to my native Canada where the country has changed very much in my 8 year absence (yes I do miss the good weather of Colorado and I do miss being able to jump all 12 months of the year), anyway I have worked in Vancouver BC where I felt I was at the United Nations working with people from China, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Chile, Argentina, Russia, Serbia, Croatia, Poland, the Netherlands, France and the UK. Plus now I'm back in Calgary Alberta (the so called redneck province of Canada) and once again I find myself working with people from China, India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the UK. Why do I tell you this. Because it has been a test of my character. It has been a test to determine if I am a racist or if I am open to these people living and working in my country. It hasn't always been easy (I was definitely a minority in Vancouver and now in Calgary 1/2 the people I work with are immigrants). But in this time I have learned a few things about myself and one thing I have learned is that I don't care what color of skin someone has or what religion they follow and I believe immigration isn't a bad thing just as long as the people immigrating to our respective countries are independent, driven and respectful of the local culture of their new country. Now not all immigrants are independent, driven and respectful. But you really need to read the book (ie: get to know the people by talking to them) instead of judging them by their covers (ie: judging them by the color of their skin). Remember I was a temporary immigrant in the USA for 8 years and I value my 8 years in that country. It taught me a lot about you guys. It taught me that for all the bad that comes from your country, there was an equal amount of good that came from it and it all kind of balances itself out. Plus I had the advantage of being a caucasian while I was in the USA and my Canadian status was never noticed just as long as I kept my 'OU's in check (yes some of us up here in Canad'ia sound funny when we talk ... I never noticed this until I returned after living in the States for 8 years). PS: My comments are generic and not specifically directed at nathaniel. ___________________________________ What a good post! Chuck

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
