    ______________________________________ It may have been the same program you saw but, on either the History channel or Discovery, I saw something similar. In the program, a letter was shown, written in LBJ's hand, stated (in so many words) that no troops were to be withdrawn from Viet Nam and that if anything, more troops would be sent there. The letter was signed: 'Lyndon B. Johnson President of the United States and dated, the day prior to John Kennedy's assanination! That has left me with a lot of questions about the assination of JFK. If, a person is going to live in this country, they should be subject to the laws of this country, state, municipality and etc. just like everyone else. Regardless of race, religion or whatever. The former governor of New Mexico, tried to make that state an 'Amnesty State'... it didn't happen. To me, because a person is an 'illegal' immigrant, should not endow them with any 'special' treatment. To me, that is predjudice. In this country, we are 'supposed' to be treated equally under the law. Besides, 'illegals' are law-breakers, the second they 'illegally' enter this country. JMO Chuck

Seems that the only thing these bastards are in there for is to pad there own pockets. _________________________________________ I firmly believe, the 'good ol' boy' system is alive and kickin'! I can't recall very many politicians who even made an attempt at keeping any of their campaign promises. That's one big reason, we need to get rid of the lobby system.     You're absolutely correct, I think, to feel the way you do about buying every kid an i-pod. Is that to give kids something to do while their mom or dad is laid-off? It just doesn't make sense. Was the date on that story April 1st.? Chuck

    The Detroit News, being a 'Republican' newspaper is prone to print such stories but, it would not have surprised me had those being written about were Republicans. Politicians are politicians, be they Republican or Democrat. We need to vote every one of them out of office and start over. Limit their terms of office to 2-yrs. and they are out. Keep the fresh blood coming and get rid of the lobbyists... hell, it 'could' work. JMO Chuck
