  1. My Dad, passed away, several years ago. He was honest, hard working and fair. I have so many memories of our times together, while I was growing-up. He was the best teacher I ever had. He taught me the things that really matter in life. I think about him a lot and wish, he could see me now. Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there! Chuck
  2. I don't really have any smart ass comments to make... A couple of us were tag teaming his girlfriend though, and she said she doesn't have a problem with 'ALL Skydivers'...just ones with no skills. At least I think that what she said, hard to tell...her mouth was full. __________________________________________ Chuck
  3. We'll see! Hey! Anyone from Crosskeys here... ya' gotta read this! Chuck
  4. Damned good! I guess, you heard about the Representative from New Mexico who wanted to cut costs in his state by reducing the number of... 'cattle guards'!? Chuck
  5. Especially if it's really hot and humid out! Chuck
  6. 2-cups of coffee in the morning and a lot of water (from our well) through the day. Every once in awhile, a Dr. Pepper. Chuck
  7. I'm going to stab my eyes out!!!! Walt _________________________________________ I thought, that would be right up your alley!? It was... pretty disgusting... Chuck
  8. If, your rigger didn't see any outward signs of mildew or mold, find a place where you can suspend the canopy and set-up a fan to blow on the parachute and container. As suggested, jump it a couple times! From your profile, you live in a humid area and mold and mildew can be a problem. Next re-pack, have your rigger give your container a good bath. In the mean-time, as long as your rigger(s) said it was airworthy... jump it. That will help a bunch. Ivory flakes, Cheer (NO bleach) or Woolite works great for washing your container. I really wouldn't recommend washing your parachute. Spot clean only. Hope, that helps. Chuck
  9. Lee you just tell people like it is and I dont think you leave people wondering where they stand with you. And yes, if you and the wife were ever in town I would let you stay here but I guess I would have to buy the good beer then. ______________________________________ HE should buy the 'good' beer (and lots of it)... just for the privilage of staying at your home! Chuck
  10. You damn skippy! There's a lot of bullshit I don't have to put up with if I don't want to, and that's one of them. Party on, as long as you let me sleep. _________________________________ Break a leg! uh... er I mean... knock 'em dead! Er... Oh hell... you know what I mean, Billy! Chuck
  11. Prayers and good wishes to you, Beezy! I only know you from here but, you're 'family'. Just get well. Chuck
  12. Lawyer on retainer: There's always one smarter and sharper. They don't necessarily have that lawyer. Sucker is born every minute: P.T. Barnum, was a wise man. There are too many folks who fall for the Nigeria scam or any other out of pure and simple greed. The reason people don't complain about falling for such scams is usually, they are too embarrassed because they got 'taken'. Someone, some group, needs to speak-up and do something besides sit-back and bitch and moan about it. It's like having a bellyache for a week and not seeing a doctor but would rather complain about the bellyache. If, you don't want to do something to 'fix' it... keep it to yourself. Plain and simple. I was just curious as to why, Skyride hasn't been investigated. Chuck
  13. How is it, these people are able to continue scamming people? With all the bad press, complaints to the various BBB's, T.V. stations and etc. why, aren't they investigated by some law enforcement agency... the FBI or some other agency? What they are doing, from all I've read and heard seems like 'racketeering' to me. The fact that they are allowed to continue their practices is beyond me. Chuck
  14. ________________________________ Ay?! I think you said that with an accent. I would've said "eh?!" (This is meaningful input from a non-Canadian.) ____________________________________ I kept running that through my head and decided on that 'spelling'. I appreciate the correction. I've asked a few Canadians who I've had the pleasure to meet and they all kinda laughed about it and didn't seem to know of any 'correct' spelling for that expression. I'm still, in the 'dark'. Chuck Hey, Chuck, I'm not correcting ANYBODY! I'm just teasing you. I've been to Canada ONCE and that was to Montreal (although I get bonus points for that, as it was for a hockey game), so I'm not about to start the Great Canadian Spelling Debate. Those Canadians can spell it any way they want and I'm good with it! ______________________________________ I knew that. Lotsa extra points for attending a hockey game IN Canada! After all... "It's a Canadian game!" Was that at The Forum? Chuck

  18. I appreciate that, Rob! I savvy not using the paddle on F-111! I had a 'trainee' one time, put a nice little 3-cornered tear in a pilot chute on a Javelin. Pilot chute material had crept out from under the cap and before I could stop him... rrrriiipp!. I told him (before this incident) to never, use a packing paddle to push the material under the cap... "use your fingers!" Also, I use the 'fat' end of my paddles which helps reduce the risk, somewhat. Chuck
  19. Damned near the same dialogue as 'Deadwood'. Chuck
  20. Except for the part where you're wrong. It's a quick edit of him looking at an empty table, then a shot of him sitting down. Shirt is gray, with different colored sleeves that you don't see when he has his jacket on when he's standing up. I've frame-by-framed it. He wasn't shot, he wasn't looking at himself, no one in that entire scene sans family has ever been in The Sopranos before. _________________________________ I tend to agree. What I saw, as I said earlier, was quite thought provoking. I think, Chase got from viewers just what he wanted... draw your own conclusion. The last episode, was definately a grabber! Not too long from now, the dvd's will be out with all the 'alternative' endings and all the Soprano folks will make even more money! Chuck __________________________________________________ Sorry. :)
  21. I got stopped one time... I had had 3-beers before leaving the DZ. I recall, when I got out of my pick-up, I checked to see which way the wind was blowing. I made sure, the whole time I spoke with the officer that, my face was into the wind and his back was to it! HEY! It worked! (I am not saying, by any means, that driving after drinking is in any way a good idea.) Chuck
  22. I agree completely. However I feel the least bit threatened by someone that blew a .08 or anything less than .10 Now someone staggering to thier car is a different story, But .08?? Two beers or one - maybe Two mixed drink can put a 100 LB person at .08. As I get older I find I have far less tolerance for ANY level of inebriation by a driver. How about your pilots start drinking? __________________________________________ "Hell! I drive better after I've had 3 or 4 beers!" Do you remember ever hearing that, in the past? I'm glad, for the most part, we've wised-up. Maybe, we've all driven while drunk but, that doesn't make it right. Pilots drinking and flying? That's just as bad if not worse. Chuck
