There's a few games left. Maybe I'll bet against a sweep. That might be my best strategy. Just read a news story about the Giants celebrating their championship... after game 2! Talk about arrogant! They gathered the team onto the field, placed the trophy in front of them and started taking pictures. Then, families of the players ran the bases while horns honked outside the stadium. Maybe, the giants will win the series but that's pretty sorry. Chuck

Friend of mine back in Mo. had a pet Possum, trained just as good as Dog! (better than many) But damn them things stink like a monkey! A 'possum? Someone had a lot of spare time! Chuck

What?? Since when does Texas have a baseball team? Yup! This is their first appearance in the World Series in their 50-yr. history! This is big stuff here in the Lone Star! I just hope, they pull-off a win. They beat the Yankees, they should be able to beat the Giants. (maybe?) Chuck Giants will take the win again tonight. I agree with you. People need to be held accountable for their words and actions. People should use some discretionand not just flagrantly do or say things. I think, this whole thing boils down to respect for your fellow man and treating others the way we want to be treated. Calling someone a derogatory name just because one has some ammendment to back him up, could, like you said, find his teeth rolling down the street like Chiclets. Chuck I think the point is being missed. To fix a problem you have to first identify it. It was the ideology of the muslim extremeists that caused 9/11. To not be able to state that Muslim extremists caused the problem is burying your head in the sand. That Muslim extremists did this may cause problem for the moderate Muslims must be recognized. I know that is what Juan was saying. To not recognize these problems due to political correctness is asinine. This is where the left is failing. I can see what you are saying... and I agree. Chuck

That's not what news is for. Factually reporting about something someone did rarely offends people, unless it's overly descriptive wrt some subjects. Using a news outlet as a means of hurting those who "need their feelings hurt" is a misuse of that media. I'm not saying to mis-use the press or any media to purposely hurt someone. This is not directed at you, Ron; it's just a general observation. In my 50+ years of life, I've come to the realization that the term "political correctness" is used as a convenient enabler for people to behave like fucking assholes. No those who pander to, use and accept political correctness are the fucking assholes. I don't know that folks who are 'politically correct' are necessarily 'assholes' but I do know, I'm flat sick of it. Good Lord! This entire nation is walking on egg shells for fear of not being 'politically correct'. It has everyone so afraid of hurting someone's 'feelings'. Some folks need their feelings hurt! It's fake! It's not the 'real world'. Everyone is 'special' and that's not the case. We need to quit it and be real about things. Chuck

I've wondered that myself. Especially in regard to the governor's race here in Texas. Both calling the other crooks and making claims of how one took bail-out money to pay his own debts and the other took money from big business and so-on. I don't hear either side calling the other a liar, either. Chuck

If, I recall correctly, this time last year, they were 0-3. I like seeing the Leafs off to a good start. The fans in Toronto have got to be pleased. I of course, like seeing the Wings off to a good start also. Chuck

Recently, illegals were transported from Nogales, Arizona to Presidio, Texas and released on the other side of the border. They've been apprehending them back on this side gradually, ever since. Deportation like all our other Immigration laws are scoffed at. The suggestion of putting them in jails, similar to Sheriff Arpaio's might not be a bad idea. Let the word get back to the illegals that if, they get caught, they go to jail for 2-yrs. and would have to pick-up trash off our highways and work on road gangs, might help deter them. Oh... and make 'em wear PINK! Chuck

Man, what a way to lose........six rounds in the shootout, and we couldn't even score once ? Just how wide IS that crossbar ? Don I know what you mean! For one thing, I HATE the shoot-out! Let the two teams play 2-full (20-min.), over-time periods. If, after that, they are still tied, show it as such in the stats. Give each team a point for the tie. Leave the shoot-out to the skills game. I know, they used to count the 'tie' but Buttman in his infinite wisdom wanted the shoot-out to quicken the time for each game and add excitement. For me, I've had all the excitement I can handle! Chuck
