  1. A sad deal, no matter how you slice it. I'd like to hear Don Cherry's take on all this. Chuck
  2. You're right Chuck, Boston played well in all 7 games, Vancouver in only 3 games. I wonder... were the Canucks relying too much on the Sedin's and they failed to perform? Vancouver played much better in their previous series. Boston was much more consistant and played 'their' game. Chuck
  3. The article I read, stated that it was a roving gang who caused all the chaos and destruction. I couldn't imagine, the good people of Vancouver, acting like that. Chuck
  4. I remember when the house I grew-up in was surrounded by fields and pastures and neighbors were far and few between. Now, it's wall to wall houses. Our house, my dad built, is still there. Chuck
  5. The report I read, stated that some 'roving street gang' was responsible for all the damage and destruction. Unfortunately, no single town or major city is immune from gangs of some sort. It's really sad that things like this happen. From what I've read in the past, this is not the first time this has happened in Vancouver after the Canucks won or lost. I'm sure, the police there are at their wits end over this. I feel certain too, the 'good' people of Vancouver ar more than upset over this. Chuck
  6. As far as I'm concerned... it's never too early to talk hockey! We can talk about trades, acquisitions, who's leaving, which team fired a coach... anything! Chuck
  7. Boston played the way they had to to win. Vancouver is a 'physical' team but Boston out-played them. I thought, it was an exciting series. I'm glad to see an 'Original 6' team win The Cup. Vancouver didn't deserve it. Too much lack-luster play on Vancouver's part. This has been a fun 'thread' and I've enjoyed sharing thoughts with all of you. Let's do it again, next year!!! GO RED WINGS!!! Chuck
  8. That's what thwin... they tear-up the town. If they lose... they tear-up the town. I don't understand that fucked-up mentality. Chuck
  9. How cool! Thomas stood tall in front of the Boston net. He certainly deserved the Conn Smythe trophy. Amazing. Chuck
  10. Not Olie Ogeltorpe!? If, the stats in this series hold true... the team who scored first, won the game. Boston is looking good! I look to see things really heat-up. Especially, in the third. GO BRUINS!!! 3-0 Bruins... Yeee-haaaaaa... Chuck
  11. Tonight will tell the tale. The way it's gone, each team has only won on their home ice. I'm hoping, Boston can break that jinx! GO BRUINS!!! Vancouver does not deserve to win. Chuck
  12. She's probably got some 'things' you couldn't get rid of with a wire-brush and kerosene! Chuck
  13. ...remem-member when? Chuck
  14. I meant that with sarcasm. Vancouver lacks 'heart'. Chuck
  15. Obviously trying to avoid a penalty but if that was me, Marchand would get away with it just once! What a game! Geeze! I can hardly wait till game 7. Chuck
  16. Hell, I was too damned busy working and trying to make a living to even think about 'middle age'. Couldn't afford it anyhow! Chuck
  17. 4-0 10-min. in! Luongo got the hook! Yeee-ha! Chuck
  18. I'm glad to know that all those on board survived the crash. I'm sad to know that we've lost another 'War Bird'. I sometimes think that due to the extreme shortage of parts for these old planes that maybe, they should be on 'static' display, only. Sure, it's great to see them fly but it's sad to lose one. Chuck
  19. I agree, whole-heartedly! Thomas has worked his butt-off and has obviously gotten the Bruins this far. Even if, the Bruins don't win it all, Thomas should still, get the Conn Smythe. Chuck
  20. At least, they admitted their mistake. Chuck
