I agree This is more like a politician sicking the IRS on a political enemy Or like the fed going after Microsoft I was clearing some old, fallen, dead, timber from my property, awhile back, when a neighbor stopped me as I was hauling the dead timber to the community 'brush pile'. He sternly told me how I had destroyed a habitat for some insect. I told him, those insects had just been evicted and how I didn't want that dead timber smoldering for days in the event of a fire! Where I live, there's plenty of dead, fallen timber. This is the impression I get of 'environmentalists! Chuck

I'm curious... this is not the first time the environmentalists have 'hit' Gibson. Do those folks really believe, a company as big as Gibson would illegally import various woods for their guitars and mandolins? Are the enviros looking for a huge, out-of-court settlement? Why arent these goody-goods chasing-down the people selling the wood? A lot of this just doesn't make sense. Chuck

The feds wouldn't have moved on it had the goody-goody environmentalists not bitched!!! Chuck Cut the feds some slack ....they are using "Enviro-Bubble" to wrap up the confiscated "contraband". They certainly know better than to fall under the wrath of the enviro-nazis. If, they want their jobs they will! Is that the wrap that disolves when it gets wet? Chuck

While Canada's national anthem may not have references of "Bombs Bursting in Air", our anthem does have several militaristic and religious references. Official English Version O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. I think, the Canadian Anthem is a good one. Chuck

Yeah, I watched both cases on the TV and I know EXACTLY what happened. Boy, the prosecutors screwed up big time on that one. ... if only they had called me for my opinion. Why didn't you speak-up? You could've changed history! Chuck

?????? Nevermind the innocent as long as we get a conviction? And execution? Is that how it is? Oh...tongue-in-cheek......I hope. I think, much of the weight rests on the shoulders of law enforcement investigators to be sure, the evidence given by the eye witness(es) is in fact true. Every cop knows that eye witnesses can be un-reliable. Chuck What every cop knows and what every cop (and the court) does are not necessarily the same thing. True story. So many good cases are screwed-up by bad police work. One big case I can think of was the Casey Anthony case. Before that it was the Jon Benet Ramsey case. I'm mostly referring to the handling of crime scenes and evidence. If and when it gets to court you never know what the judge will do. I do feel, if, investigators have their ducks in a row, their chances are usually better. Chuck

The difference is the good guy was glorified, not the bad guy. One of my movie heroes was John Wayne. "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." Maybe more shows like Rifleman and movies like True Grit is part of the answer? I too, watched all the t.v. westerns of the '50's and '60's... they taught good, real values. They made it quite apparent who the good-guy was and who the bad guy was. We don't have t.v. shows like that now and I doubt, very many kids would watch them. Kids are more aware of the world today, thanks to the world-wide web and at a younger age than us. Kids today have a wider array of influnces outside the home than we did. Times have changed at warp speed since we were kids. Chuck

Too bad. I gave my Fanner-50 to my younger cousin. Chuck

When I went for my Senior ticket, my instructor told me that during the '60's and '70's, requests for seal symbols such as LSD, POT, PCP, TCP and other similar were turned-down by the FAA. Chuck

That's what I did, bought a wood-burning tool at Hobby Lobby. I machined the one tip to a thin blade. It heats-up fast and I get a very clean 'cut' without a lot of excess melted material. It works especially good with 0-P. I still have and use that burner (since 1993) and I use it often. Chuck

You love it! You always do a good job. Chuck

Searching FAA is a real hoot! Chuck

Chuck, I did not mean it to be detrimental in any fashion, shape or form. Sorry if you took it that way.... I just wanted to point out that some riggers may not be listed on the database that really do have a legit rating! Cheers, MEL Mel, No, no! I didn't take it that way. I sure didn't take it personally. Everything is good! Chuck

That was the best I could do... sorry. I looked-up a master rigger/dpre that I knew and he was not listed. He's held that title forever! I looked-up one I trained and he was not listed. Is there such a thing as a 'current' list? I do know, individuals can be searched on the FAA page. Chuck

That could get interesting! Chuck

Did some searching and found this site. Thought y'all might find it interesting.

true fans would do or suffer just about anything if it could get the owners traded. Ain't that the truth! They want the team but don't want to shell-out the money it takes to buy good players. Like with the team I'm a fan of. Chuck -
