  1. ok, that's what i thought, but i had noticed that a lot of them were toggle hooking at the nationals. so when a was told this, i kinda believed it, but it was still in the back of my head, oh hell that can't be right. so now i know for sure, thanks later
  2. i have heard that the nights are forbidden to use there front risers. is this true, or just a bad rumor??? later
  3. i'll tend to dissagree just a bit. i jump a fx, and i have never let my toggles back up that far, or at all for that matter. on a stilleto, the toggle range is much shorter, so you almost have to do that so you don't go shooting back up in the air. but if you start out not flaring as deep, then you will not have to let them back up. if sounds like you may have to dig out of the corner a little, and then let up. but with a canopy with a deeper toggle stroke, you'll just go back into the ground if you let up that high. now all of the pics you do see on the fx's, vx's, velocity's, xaos's and so on are from them comming in with so much speed, they may not need to flare as much as usuall, but they flare deep, then let it back up. later
  4. ya, i had this happen to me on a pair of tony suit freefly pants. they're all blue, with black and with checker board down the sides. well now the white is like a light blue color. i haven't heard of any way to get this out. how old is your suit???? if its pretty new, i would send it back to firefly and see what they say. if it's pretty new they should give you a new one. later
  5. that's funny, i'll have to agree with aggiedave, it does remind me of the ride to altitude later
  6. 27, is that good, or is that bad later
  7. i have video of my dad having line dump like you want(it was on a tandem too), but i don't have any way of posting a video. i will try and dig up the tape and see if i can get a still off of it. lager
  8. i'm not saying that it's always body positon. i'm just saying it could be a possibility. again, it could of also been line dump, the packer not pulling the slider out infront of the nose, not shoving the nose back far enough, not rolling the nose, there could be a lot of different reasons why it opened hard. later
  9. yes sabre's are know to whack ya every once in a while. and it probably way your body position. you may of had a shoulder low, and not really noticed it. then by having a shoulder low, one side of the canopy opened before the other, and therfore, didn't let the slider do the job. or if you grab your risers as soon as you pull, then you could of pulled down of them too much, and then that could of caused the bad opening. later
  10. did you get to look at it??? i was talking to dave brown at the nationals, and he was telling me how the removeable pilot chute and d-bag worked, but they hadn't figured a way to get the slider off. so if you did get a look at it, how does it work??? later
  11. was jay (the PD guy) using that thing were he can take his slider, pilot chute, and d-bag off?? just wondering later
  12. heather, what's the new wings ext??? later

  14. no like a dumb ass i did a 180, and had to dig out like a mother @#$! i had enought time to stow my slider and leave it up, and realease my brakes, and hook. later
  15. the lowest i've ever pulled was about 1400 ft. it was on the helicopter at quincy a year ago. i was sitting in the sattle about 650 to 700 ft. (cypress off) we did a six way, from 4500 ft, and i said i would take it down to 2 (along with my dad and a friend) and i spent a bit too much time playing around in the air with my dad, and got a little low, and the pitiful thing is my dad was below me!! that was about the shortest canopy ride i've ever had, i was under a 97 vengence. and i got out at 1200 ft on a static line a while back on a cloudy day later
  16. that's funny as hell later
