Looks like on two of the dives... the flap would come undone as they crawled out. They both appeared to have their rigs catching maybe part of the fuselage as they stood up? Crazy stuff. Naa that aint crazy!! Its when the pin gets pulled that it gets crazy!! This happened at SkyFest 6, so after that noone with a main larger than a 170 could go. The fuselage was too small. The pilot has 30 jumps and saw the bag coming out. He grabed it with one hand pushing it next to the fuselage, rolled the plane over and yelled go to the jumper. Jumper went pilot let go of bag, no problem.. I saw it from the ground and said to myself, what, did they do a static line from a Pitts. Kinda sucks I wont turn 40 till after the POPs in Texas why does that bother me??? Well I have been trying to get a steerman for 5 years and I think I have it!! Which should be cool, not sure when there was one in texas that someone jumped? Maybe someone at SF will be the first...oh wait I have to test the pilots skills and the exit procedure for everyone so I guess it will be me!! Got to keep everyone safe you know. Glad to see they unlocked this thread too. I was wondering if/when they were going to. It really sucks, I really want to go to LP and have for years!! The dates are always a problem for me. I have always heard GREAT THINGS about this event. Folks, this is one, if not THE longest running event in skydiving history! This event stands on its own. After you go to (you know where) head to LP! I am jealous of those who can go. Have a great time!

Of course we have our usual: Casa Otter at least one Caravan heli Powered Parechutes "rides" Steerman pending Balloons pending The guy who has the PP's and the Balloons can not make it this year. he has hooked me up with some PP's and will try for the balloons. I am reaching out for other possibilities. I have not given up and wont until the 17th of July See you there!

I agree with the idea behind it. My only concern is that due to the dates of SF around the 4th of July. It really makes a difference when scheduling time off. If the event doesnt get posted till almost April then many people will not be able to attend. Now, is this the only place they can find news about it? Of course not, lots of money is spent in other areas. We had a banner hear last year, magazine ads, website, etc. But if DZ.com truly is the best skydiving forum (whatever their slogan is) then we shouldnt hold that knd of info. Maybe a "starting" post that only gives dates and a "structured" layout for a while. then when the time comes the thread is unlocked. I dont know I dont know even why this one was unlocked...not bitching of course. I appreciate the hard work from everyone involved with DZ.com so I will abide with wat they want...wel try anyway. Now chris.....get off my thread! Go get a dublin thread locked!!!!
