I'm probably going to regret this, but what flavor are the "Brown Ass" ones? I can see chocolate pudding and a chocolate liquer of some sort. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo

Depends on where it happened, but this is my experience too. Show up, explain about the new car and all that, they may offer a reduction in charges. And one minor ticket in 3 years shouldn't matter. But it depends on your insurance co. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo

Obama is not a US Natural Born Citizen

Posted as a true T-legger!! Whether or not he is a T-legger (I had to read further down to find out what that meant), I sure as hell am not. I didn't vote for Obama and won't in '12. I don't agree with a lot of his positions or policies. But the "Birthers" are stupid fucking idiots. So are their enablers. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." That's a good question. Usually a trespassing violation is handled with a written warning, and a citation is only issued if the trespasser returns. Perhaps an invasion of privacy? I would feel "violated" if my neighbors were looking into my windows. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Catching tandems. Really. Seeing the joy/thrill/amazement/wonder/ecstasy on their face and in their voice after making that first jump does it for me. Being on the same load (or flying the load) with first timers is fun too. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Yes, some, but: And I want to point out that continuing Bilvon's statement, the more fuel you need, the more you have to life out of the gravity well, the more fuel you need to lift the added weight of the fuel out of the gravity well. You can see that payloads quickly shrink, and diminishing returns approach. And in addition to that the fuel you need to slow down when you reach the moon is more weight that needs fuel to lift it out of the gravity well. Look at how big the Saturn V was, and how big the lunar lander was (yes they took the command module and capsule both ways too). To add it up (backwards)on a one way trip, you need the fuel to slow the spacecraft down at the moon, plus the fuel to get the spacecraft (and the fuel to slow down) from earth orbit to the moon, plus the fuel to get the spacecraft (and all the other fuel) into orbit. It adds up fast. To the point that speeding up and then slowing down doesn't double the amount of fuel needed just to speed up, it squares it. Verdict Skydive Arizona VS Quattrocchi et el
wolfriverjoe replied to bbarnhouse's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
...But it was clear from the day after USPA got involved with skyride that an organization such as USPA can't legally do that... I'd still like to know which "official" you reference, is it a secret for some reason? Why can't they explain on here? Maybe I was a little harsh on you last night, and I apologize for that, but I STILL do not see how the USPA "can't legally do that" since the settlement was made and the subject wasn't really approached, just given in to. Nothing was proven, was it? My understanding (and this may be wrong - if so I welcome correction) is that USPA didn't follow their own procedures for booting all the Skyride DZs. That was the main point of the suit. Not whether or not the DZs deserved to be booted. And the lawyers/insurance company wasn't willing to risk paying for the entire legal fight because of the chance of losing. This is typical in our legal system. The insurance co will settle to avoid the cost of the suit, not because the case isn't strong. And these settlements often include gag orders for all involved, with some serious consequences for violating them (hence Jan's avatar pic). That's real easy. A simple, polite call inquiring if that fella performs his job in a similar manner - too fast, sloppily and with little or no regard for those around him. Note: I have done that once or twice when vehicles with phone number on the side do stupid stuff. If you are polite and speak in a reasonable voice, and ask the person answering the phone if that is how they want their business represented, they tend to listen. I don't know if it changes anything, but it sure feels nice And yes, my big truck has the "How's My Driving" sticker on the back. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." I drive semi truck and I see this stupid crap on a regular basis. Is it worth risking an accident to save 10 seconds? Is it worth all the effort to gain 3 or 4 spaces in heavy traffic? Is it worth the effort and extra gas used to pass someone, just to have them catch up at the next light? I guess it must be because so many people do it. My opinion is that these idiots have no concept that anyone or anything exists outside of a 5 or 10 foot radius from them. That it just isn't real. So it doesn't matter. My personal favorite from the last summer is the driver who exited from one freeway to another, crossing a long bridge where there was slow/stopped traffic (it turned out to be less than 5 minutes of delay). She (happened to be a woman, both sexes are equally idiotic IMO) couldn't wait, so she hopped the median, drove about 100 yards the wrong way on the other side, hooked a U-turn to go down the ramp back the way she came. The go-around to get to the other side of the bridge would add about 15 minutes minimum to the trip (back the way she came to the last exit, flip and go past to the next exit and then cut through town). But if you are moving, you are going to get there faster than sitting still right?? "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." That's living on the edge DUDE... I hear man-flu is about 100000 times worse than the common cold.. Do you have some kind of death-wish?? I'm with mrwrong - you are crazy!!! Getting cut off can last a lot longer than the flu does. I agree that working at any heath care provider with an infectous disease is a bad idea. A mask will lower the risk if transmission, but if she has to touch patients, then there is still a significant risk. I also agree that saying anything about it is a bad idea. I'm going to disagree with this. The Zapruder film is an amazing piece of history. The recording from the Dallas Police radio (the stuck mic on the motor cop), while badly misinterpreted, is still a valuable piece of evidence. And people are still looking at it. National Geographic Channel did a show on it not too long ago where they took the Zapruder film and converted it into 3D computer animation. It allowed, to a certain degree, to see the event from different angles. It was able to demonstrate the fallacy of the "magic bullet" by showing how Connelly was really sitting. Discovery Channel did a show a couple years ago that looked (among other things) at the practicality of a single gunman being able to make the shots. Using the same model rifle, a well trained marksman was able to shoot a "head sized" watermelon (that was in the back of a car moving at the same speed) three times from the same angle and distance in the same amount of time. Just like the moon landing "hoax", if you look at all the evidence, not just the parts that support your theory, most of the conspiracy theories fall apart. The title of the thread is a reference to a TV show on the History Channel And I have to agree that Oswald acted alone, and Ruby did too. The "gunman on the grassy knoll" was a misinterpretation of a radio recording, the "magic bullet" took a straight path through John Connelly who was turned to the side at the time. You're welcome. I'm just glad you took it the way I meant it (information) rather than as a poke at your ego So... The empty space isn't that big of a deal from a safety standpoint. The difference in pressure isn't enough to put the gun at risk, and if there's that much empty space, there isn't a whole lot of powder to begin with. My .30-06 loads for my Garand are pretty light, and have space in them. It does affect consistency and therefore accuracy. Some folks use an inert filler to top the case off (believe it or not, Cream of Wheat is one of the most popular). The Cowboy Action Shooters (old west reenactors) use really light loads in really big cases, and sure enough somebody developed a very bulky smokeless powder so that they can fill the cases to capacity. The .357 is 1/8" (0.125) longer than the .38, just like you said, to keep them from being loaded into the wrong gun. Back in the '30's they came up with the .357's "father", the .38/.44. .44 special pressures in a .38 cartrdge. It was exactly the same size as a 38, but was only supposed to be fired in a certain pistol (what was later the Smith and Wesson "N" frame). I guess product liability lawsuits weren't as common back then. They lengthened the case and re-designated it as the .357 because too many people blew up too many guns. And yes, the 38 and 357 can be a little spooky to load. You can't see the powder level in the case very easily. My Dillon 650 has a Powder Check feature that is a nice feature. If someone breaks into my home when I am home, I will assume that they are willing to do whatever it takes to get away. That will include assuming they are wliling to hurt or kill me. There have been two cases in my home town (small town in NE Wisconsin) where unarmed women were killed by burglars. The one they caught (about 15 years later) admitted he killed her because he didn't want her to identify him. The other one hasn't been caught. My first act will be to call the police, but they may not arrive in time. I will arm myself and warn the intruder to leave or risk being shot, but if they continue to act aggressivley, then THEY leave me no choice but to defend myself. Killing someone would be a last resort, and have very serious consequences, but it beats getting killed. See AggieDave's post earlier in this thread, and my post HERE about self defense. I was told to expect to spend about $20k if I have to shoot someone. AggieDave says $50k, and I won't agrue with him. There is also no guarantee that a prosecutor, judge and jury will find that my actions were reasonable and within the law. That means I may spend quite a lot of time behind bars. It's a very high price, and will make me refrain from using deadly force in all but the most serious situations. But it is a price I would be willing to pay for my life and that of my loved ones. He also had 2 guns. Note: I don't have a problem with it either. I thought including the snake was a bit odd, but it was his pic, his choice. I also shot a couple practice matches against him. Here's one to chew on. A local kid had a 10' python as a pet. He was also a nationally rated competitive shooter. He had placed reasonably well in his age class at several national competitions (both with a pistol and a rifle). His senior picture (published in the yearbook) had him prone (laying down) with his competition AR-15 and holstered pistol, with the snake draped over his shoulders and the rifle. It was what he chose as representative of himself at that time in his life. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." I don't often agree with you on political issues, professor, but you are spot on here. 1 - What would a "Birth Certificate" from Hawaii ca. 1961 look like? There have been other "Certificate of Birth" posted, but no "Birth Certificates". 2 - I happened to go into my safetey deposit box a couple of weeks ago. In it is my 1965, Ohio, "Certificate of Live Birth" (notarized copy). Am I not a citizen? You might want to tell the State Department because they used it to issue my passport. 3(last) - Nobody has mentioned the one person who would be all over this if it was true. Hillary Clinton. She tried to keep the disqualified delegates from Michigan. She used every trick in the book to try to win the nomination. Do you really believe she wouldn't have used this if it was at all true?? Not really. The .38 spl is a leftover from the blackpowder days (actually a descendant of a leftover). Powder was a lot bulkier back then, and cases had to be bigger. Check out loading data for both (performance data too) and you'll see that the 9 and 38 are pretty similar. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
