ProsexTracks don't have all of the features I need. My Uranus doesn't just log number of partners, it also records and graphs positions used, time spent in the act, different holes engaged in the process, thrusts per minute and penis length. Wow. It didn't take very long for this thread to get ridiculous (I'm saying that in a complimetary way, BTW). Thanks for moving it, Skymamma, even if it was the women who came up with the best silliness. I'm dealing with a fairly large pile of shit this week and I needed the laugh. Thanks. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." They are responsible for it once they take possession of it. They have the right to know what's in it. They also have the responsibility to protect everyone else's stuff, so they need to know that it won't put the rest of the freight at risk. Check out a little of the history of "Hazardous Materials" and how those rules came about. It involves a leaking container of nitroglycerine being opened by someone who didn't know what it was and he opened the crate with a hammer (well, the crate wasn't closed after the first blow, anyway) Kinda like airport security, you don't have to answer any of the questions, you also can deliver the package yourself. I agree that a lot of the idiots behind the counters don't know their own rules, especially when it comes to guns. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." It wouldn't come up online for me. It gave a message that the video wasn't available now, but would be up soon (or something like that anyway) Hmmm ... I don't know ... I watched it online somewhere a couple of days after it aired. If you follow the link I posted, it takes you to the page where the shows can be watched. The one she is in wouldn't come up (yesterday anyway). I'll check again in a couple days. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." C'mon Quade. Female nudity, especially done slowly and incrementally, has been a stage performance ever since there was a stage to perform on. This one adds the handkerchief trick as a prop. It's a striptease, no more and no less. I'm ok with that -
At least you slowed down for the corners. I've seen a video on one of the clip shows where a group of guys did something similar, using an inner tube on flooded roads. It went great up until they went around a corner just a bit too fast and swung the rider on the inner tube right into a tree. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Did you read the two stickies in the Photog & Vid forum? They will give you answers to the questions you are asking, and the reasons behind the answers too. This question gets asked a lot. That's why they are "stickies". "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Lucky McSwervy "~ya don't GET old by being weak & stupid!" - Airtwardo

ICARUS seems to think not. Reccomended W/L is 1.4-2.1 I seem to remember a discussion about the problems encountered when underloading them, but I don't recall any details or reasons. Try searching "Crossfire2", maybe with wingloading or underloading. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Awwwww I missed it. Is it scheduled to repeat? Edit to add: Nevermind, I found it http://www.mtv.com/shows/truelife/episode.jhtml?episodeID=174614#moreinfo Repeats Feb 3. Screw 'em I have a phone for my convenience, not for others. It has caller ID, if someone calls I will know it. If I can't (shouldn't) answer I DON"T. If I am navigating 75' of semi through Chicago, I won't be answering the stupid phone. Not surprisingly, my dispatcher is a big fan of this(Company policy discourages using the phone while driving). I have told people - If you leave a message, I will call back. Important people get called back whether or not they leave one. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." I've only eaten at Crackerbarrel once. The cornbread was dry and tasted like cardboard (Is that what shit tastes like? I wouldn't know.) Needless to say, I don't plan on going back. What happened to your TV show? The last I heard you say, it was going to be on around Thanksgiving. Did I miss something, or did something happen? And I remember you are under a NDA, so if you can't say, I understand. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." They won't. The ones who are smart enough to realize how dangerous it is don't need a law to stop them from doing it. The ones who violate the law are the ones who have "Mad Skilz" and are certain that they can do it safely. Like the ones in the video. http://www.skydiveburnaby.com/extras/stop-the-wind-turbines.html Clickified. Skydive Chicago went through a situation where a power company wanted to put high-voltage transmission lines right next to the airport. It was a long fight, but the power lines are going elsewhere. I don't know the rules in Canada, but there are requirments to put that kind of thing close to an existing airport here in the US. Good Luck. I personally like the zippers. With them I can have the legs tighter and keep my fall rate up, while still having the extra drag on my feet. For light little bastards like me, every little bit helps. I agree on the grippers, but a custom fit isn't necessary if you can find one that fits well off the rack. I got a Tonysuit that fit me perfectly at SDC Summerfest in 09. They had the people and the facilites right there to do alterations if they had been necessary. A good fit is essential, but custom made isn't automatically necessary to get a good fit. I agree that it sounds like ADF. You can get a reasonably accurate bearing to an NDB (or AM radio station). You can triangulate on 2 seperate ones to get a position fix. You aren't going to get accuracy of +/-100 ft unless you are right on top of the station. An IFR NDB approach usually uses (or used, I don't know if there are any NDB approaches left) a beacon right on the airport or very close to it. But, back in 71, an NDB receiver, including the bearing display, would have been as big as a car battery. Plus it would need an antenna outside the plane. Georger - Thank you for establishing that Jerry is ok. I didn't always agree with him, but I valued his input. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Where The Pilot Puts You Out
wolfriverjoe replied to popsjumper's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
If you have a significant change in the winds aloft, your ground track during freefall will have a "corner" in it as you fall. You will be blown one way during part of the freefall, and another during the rest. This can be an issue if you spot according to the winds at jump altitude, and disregard the fact that they are blowing from a different direction lower down. This can be anticipated by watching how the plane is blown as it climbs to altitude. Compare the heading to the ground track to see what the winds are doing to it. One of the only advantages to a Cessna. As was pointed out, all the seats are window seats, and the climb takes enough time that you can really study what the winds are doing. As long as you make the "license" a shall issue (as long as skills are demonstrated and background check is passed) I'm ok with it. As was said, make it so that anyone who can pass can carry anywhere in the US. Registration scares me because it has been used historically to disarm the populace. And please define what kind of gun can be "used safely in public". Here in the US, cops and licensed civilains routinely carry pistols. Over in Europe, riot cops with submachine guns aren't uncommon. In Israel, off duty reservists routinely carry Uzis and M-16s. Safely. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." I think many here will miss you, Mr Blevins. You posted in a sane and rational manner. You had some solid backing to your conclusions. You answered questions that were asked of you and were willing to listen when the information didn't support your conclusions. Others could learn from your behavior. I'm not convinced KC was Cooper. I still believe it was an unknown who died in the jump (which makes Vickie's dad the only viable suspect presented so far). Based on what Georger has posted, and more importantly, what he didn't post, I'm starting to believe that the Ingram find was really the whole shebang, all $200k, with only a small amount still intact. Just a feeling, and I certainly could be wrong. Last - You really don't think you can just walk away from this, do you Mr Blevins? Kinda like the Eagle's Hotel California, the Cooper Zone has a one-way door. Someone needs to rent a church basement and brew a big urn of coffee. Maybe the Gulf spill wasn't as bad . . .
wolfriverjoe replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
#1 This is only in reference to the methane (natural gas) levels. NOT the crude oil that was spilled. That is still out there. #2 The science isn't done. All they know for sure is that the levels aren't where they expected them to be. #3 They really aren't sure where it went. The bacteria that consumes methane also consumes oxygen in the process. Oxygen levels aren't as low as they should be if all the methane was consumed by bacteria. There is also the possiblity that deep level currents (that aren't all that well known) simply moved it somewhere else. It's still good news. Unfortunately, preliminary reports are saying that it was systemic disregard for safety that was the root cause. The same sort of "chain of events" we often discuss in the Incidents forum. If one of those links had been broken, putting safety ahead of time and money, the spill wouldn't have happened. "There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit." Where The Pilot Puts You Out
wolfriverjoe replied to popsjumper's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The pilot doesn't "Put me out", nor do I "put jumpers out" when I'm flying. The pilot gives us a ride to altitude, does his best approximation of jumprun (which gets more and more accurate as the day goes on) and permission to open the door. He/I communicate with ATC, turn as directed by the spotter and pull the throttle back on the "Cut" command (if it is heard - more than once the "Cut" command was the first guy climbing out ). It's actually easier than some folks seem to think to flip the D-bag. When you finish stowing the lines, you pick it up, and put it in the pack tray. If you give it a half flip to keep the risers where you want, you have to make sure you don't give it another half flip in the same direction to get the stowed lines to the bottom. As AggieDave noted, if you get interrupted or are goofing around while you are packing, you can lose track of which way it should go and give your self a step-through. Not really. More of a "Pro-pack on the floor" than a true "flat-pack". At least that's what I was taught to do. Look in the FAA manual if you really want to see what it looks like.
