If he came back, the report would have a decent chance of being made public. If the leaks are correct, that would be a problem. And not a small one.

Ya gotta admit that the rise of Trumpty Dumpty has given a LOT of people the motivation to rip of the masks they put on to present an 'acceptable' persona to society. They don't have to hide anymore. I fully agree that it's beyond fucking disgusting.

Musk has too much money.

Great. As part of his confirmation hearings they should rescind the NDA and bring the lady in front of the Senate. Sort of like how they should bring the Ethics Committee's report in front of the Senate for Gaetz's hearing.

Well, in addition to the concept that the vax presents a risk to pregnant women low enough to be equivalent to zero, being unvaccinated presents a huge risk to pregnant women and their fetuses. Pregnancy changes the mother's immune system. It has to in order to prevent it from attacking the 'foreign object' in the womb. That leaves the mother more vulnerable to a severe case of Covid. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/coronavirus-and-covid-19-what-pregnant-women-need-to-know And the effects of severe cases of Covid on pregnant women have been shown to sometimes be catastrophic. There are anecdotal reports of severe blood clotting resulting in multiple limb amputation, internal organ failure (kidneys & heart were near the top of the list), and, of course, permanent and severe lung damage. Fetal deaths were quite common. https://newsroom.uw.edu/news-releases/pregnant-women-covid-19-face-high-mortality-rate

Some of them get it -- Sullivan Before the Election

'Cuz Trumpty Dumpty's gonna put Elmo in charge. The big difference is that he's likely to do to the US economy what he did to Xitter. And so many who supported Donnie von Schitzenpants complained about how bad the economy was. -
Seriously? Try looking in a mirror. You recently posted that you think Covid was 'just the sniffles'. And that MRNA vaccines are fake. And that issues presented by homeless people are from illegal immigration.

That's a really good question. On the one hand, Trump has pardoned a LOT of people who committed crimes for him. He did it for people who were still able to help him. OTOH, he seems for forget a lot. People who helped him, who are no longer of any use, are tossed aside... Like garbage. We'll just have to wait and see which group the insurrectionists fall into.

You seem to forget the trade war Trumpty Dumpty started with China... And lost. He jacked tariffs on Chinese goods. They retaliated by increasing tariffs on US commodities. The US soybean market tanked. Completely. It took BILLIONS in bailouts to keep the farmers from going bankrupt. He wants to start another trade war, this time with the WHOLE WORLD. I don't expect it to go any better than the last one.

How about an insanity defense for a defamation case. Smartmatic is still pending.

Hi Jerry, I grew up in Appleton. Currently a few miles down the road. Appleton, birthplace of the Birch Society, home to Joe McCarthy. There's a life size bronze bust of him, currently in the county museum. It sat in the courthouse most of my younger life.

The list of "Trump is so dumb he thinks..." would crash the servers.

I agree. Some of the stats coming in about early voting seem to support Harris over Trump. Obviously, we won't know the actual results until the votes are counted, but the demographics are fairly heavily slanted. Also, even though the polls are close, I keep remembering the primaries. The polls kept indicating Trump would have a 'landslide' victory, but Haley kept getting much higher vote totals than the polls suggested she would.

The possibilities are endless. Considering the musical guest is Chappell Roan, it's not entirely out of the question for it to happen then.

I've been saying that for quite a while.

$15B. They're going to roast him pretty well. The things they can do with a garbage truck and a microphone are... Extensive.

While that's potentially true with mail in, the in person early voting that I did (on Monday) worked the very similar to 'election day' voting. I was given a ballot and an envelope. I took the ballot to a 'voting cubicle', filled it out, folded it up (as instructed) sealed the envelope and dropped it in a box. No opportunity for anyone to have any direct influence on it, at least not without the staff noticing.

Seen on FB - 'If you were going to choose a metaphor for the Republican party in 2024, a garbage truck chauffeuring a rich guy, traveling around in circles going nowhere, all for a photo op is pretty spot on.'

To each their own. But I prefer to see the entire conversation. I skim the lengthy diatribes from the serious trolls. I don't need to have someone on an ignore list on order to ignore the.. I just don't need to respond to hatred and ignorance.

That's what he does. That's ALL he ever does.

Lots of info is coming out. You just have to look for it. The Russians are doing what they've always done best during a war. Dying. They're making small, slow gains in Donbas, trying to take a logistics hub. At huge costs. They've lost thousands and thousands of troops in the past month or so. They still use the classic Russian tactic of "send men in, when they get killed you can see where the Ukrainians are firing from" Russia has reportedly started bringing in soldiers from North Korea. Because they're running out of Russians to send to their deaths. They're doing very little to take back the territory in Kursk that the Ukrainians seized. The Ukrainians are getting better at stopping the missile/drone attacks by Russia on their infrastructure. They're also getting better at sending drones into Russia to take out supply depots, oil refinery/storage and key manufacturing.

I started in the early 'zeroes' and there was still quite a bit of dark humor. It's toned down quite a bit over the years, but it's still there. Definitely kept away from early students and tandems. But it's still there. "Do you guys really jump from a perfectly good airplane? You haven't seen this airplane, have you?" "First one to the crater gets the good stuff." "If you have a total, aim for your rigger's car". "If you're going in, you've done everything you can, and there's nothing left; reach down, yank off one shoe and shove it down the front of your jumpsuit. It won't change the outcome, but everyone will go nuts trying to figure out how that happened." Instructor: What do you do if the main doesn't open? Student: Pull the silver handle (yes, back in the days of single handle). Instructor: What do you do if the reserve doesn't open? Student: ??? Instructor: Walk towards the bright light. I never actually pulled it off, but back when I was flying the 182, I wanted to find a red & white "Blind man" cane. Sit quietly on one of the couches, waiting as the TI gets the student harnessed up, then ask "you ready?", stand up, grab the cane and start 'tapping' my way to the plane. Student and their friends all ask "who is THAT?!?!" TI: "That's our pilot. We don't have to pay him a lot. Besides, taking off and climbing to altitude is the easy part. Wait until you see him land. One of the TIs was all in for that. He did have a pretty odd sense of humor. Also, the SNL skit was pretty funny. Grim, but funny.

"Creating a right'. Sure. I wasn't aware the right to privacy didn't exist before Roe v Wade (for those not aware, the 'right to privacy' between a woman and her doctor for medical purposes was the main legal reason for Roe v Wade) I also wasn't aware the right to not incriminate one's self didn't exist before Arizona v Miranda (that's where "you have the right to remain silent..." came from). I wasn't aware the right to marry didn't exist before Obergefell v Hodges or Loving v Virginia.
