When anyone kills someone, it's homicide by definition. Maybe justifiable, maybe not. And it should be investigated. Properly. Not just "papered over" (you know, like the McDonald shooting in Chicago). And have you any experience with the civilian side of use of deadly force? If a cop shoots someone, he goes on paid leave. He typically waits a day or two or three (depends) before being Debriefed (questioned). He always has a union lawyer at his side during this debriefing. If a civilian shoots someone, even when the circumstances are very clear and totally justified, he gets arrested. Unless he is reasonably smart and invokes his right to remain silent and to an attorney, the cops will want to interrogate him immediately (on scene). The cops will use all of their interrogation techniques to get the shooter to incriminate himself. Funny thing. If a citizen lies to the cops during an interrogation, it's "obstruction". Your comments on helmets are pretty far from reality. Very few skydiving helmets have a "shock absorption layer". They're usually shells and a comfort liner. And most of them show damage to the shell rather spectacularly. Have you ever seen a CF helmet that took a good hit? Or even a fairly minor hit? The stuff on the rigs themselves is pretty sparse. Canopy sizing? Planform type? Why do you specifically recommend a new canopy? Especially for a newer jumper, packing a new canopy is a challenge. If you look through the forums, you will find more than a few "New guy looking for a first rig" threads. Read through a few of those for some ideas. Edit to add: You mention both motorcycle and horseback helmets. And link to the science behind them. There really isn't any comparison between those and typical jump helmets. There's no jump helmet I know of that's certified. The only one that provides any impact protection is the ProTec (and the old Skysystems Benny). Well first off, pythons & boas are invasive species. They don't belong. Removing them is a good idea. Second, I highly doubt that an 8 foot snake could eat a kid, even as small as a 3 year old. Honest question: Do you think Trump realizes how far the Russians are into him? I honestly don't know how far that is, but it's more than "just a little." Based on previous stuff, either Trump owes them a lot of money, or they are big stakeholders in a number of Trump's companies. Flynn is likely a Russian agent (either willingly or not), Manafort is too. If you look at Trump's past, especially with the New York mob (construction) and the Philly mob (Atlantic City casinos), he seems to have a knack for getting "into bed" with them, then finding out how hard (and expensive) it is to get out. I'm wondering if he's only now finding out that the FSB (KGB) makes the mob guys look like amateurs. This is something that they've been very, very good at for a while. I don't doubt that they started supporting Trump to entrap him a while ago. His ego would have helped make it easier. One of the reasons that bright and "unnatural" colors and vivid patterns on jumpsuits and rigs are a good thing. I've "lost" people who were wearing black very easily.
