Pfft. Much of Mexico is "European colonizers". Descendents of the Spaniards who conquered it. Or the French, who ruled it for a while. Lots and lots of Mexicans are 'not brown'. Besides, if the US had taken over Mexico (and subsequently gone down into Central America), and then treated the native population the same way they handled that 'problem' in what is now the US, then there'd be very few 'brown people' left.

11.5 in the quarter mile? I guess the Tesla doesn't count as a 'muscle car'. The "Plaid" has done a quarter mile in less than 9 seconds. In all seriousness, a sub-12 second quarter mile is really fast. Unmodified ICE vehicles that can do that are pretty rare and very expensive.

That's funny. Ft Sumter was US Army property. Federal property. As was all the equipment the Confederates stole. That overall idea is something the 'secessionists' in various places seem to not realize. If Texas, for example, leaves the US, they lose ALL the military bases both 'regular' and Reserves). And NASA in Houston. And all the defense contractors. And all their Social Security money. And all their federal (military & civilian) pensions. And a lot more. I've seen some economic estimates, and people smarter than I have said they'd be broke in less than 3 years.

I don't know the process for selling to Carvana, but the buyer is at least sort of protected. Any major issues have to be disclosed. And anything that isn't ok when the car is delivered is supposed to get fixed. My neighbor bought a car from them and when it arrived, the brakes were shot. Worn out. Carvana replaced them. Came, picked the car back up, fixed it and returned it. It took a while, but they did it.

While I don't think it represents the majority, there are a LOT of cops who are Trumpettes, and authoritarian bullies. Don't forget that Kyle Rittenhouse, after killing 2 people and severely wounding another, walked up to the cops while holding a loaded rifle. They told him to go home. OTOH, the guy who shot & killed a Trumpette at a protest, in what could well have been legitimate self defense, was shot and killed 'resisting arrest while armed', yet a weapon wan't found. And don't forget about the Biden bus that the Trumpanzee assholes tried to run off the road in Texas. The people on the bus called the cops, but they 'couldn't be bothered' to respond.

Depends on the car. The Porsche Cayenne (SUV) had a hell of a problem with cylinder scoring. There wasn't any admission from Porsche (not surprising), but a fair amount of 1st & 2nd gen models had motors that would self destruct somewhere between 75k & 100k miles. Apparently it was a manufacturing defect (which is why Porsche was silent) and the cylinder walls weren't finished properly. It was silent until it was too late. 1st there would be an increase in oil consumption, then there would be a ticking from the motor. By that time, the block was destroyed. It's an alusil block, so there's no boring it out, and sleeving the bores is almost as expensive as a replacement motor (which could also be susceptible to scoring). You couldn't even inspect for it. The scoring started down at the bottom, so by the time it was visible to a borescope (even with the piston at BDC), it was too late. The depreciation on them was pretty severe, so by the time they got to that point, they weren't worth a whole lot ($20k-$30k) and fixing or replacing the motor was not worth it.

Digital Altimeter: Polarized glasses can make it very hard to read the LCD display. Make sure to see how it affects it on the ground.

I want to know exactly what rights these 'protections to each and every member' would entail. Tax deductions? How about people who have multiple embryos in frozen storage? Can they take deductions for each and every one? How about child support? Can the presumptive father be held financially responsible for pre-natal care? How about citizenship? Because anyone born in the country is a citizen, would this mean anyone conceived in the country be one too? I'm sure there are a lot of other things that the alt-right would lose their shit over. This is just what I can think of off the top of my head.

From a site that has less credibility than something like Western Journal or Breitbart, no less.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers
wolfriverjoe replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
This was the guy who won the "Prove Mike Wrong" contest by proving the data Lindell had 'showing the election was fraudulent' didn't do that. Which it didn't. When dude won, Lindell followed his idol's example by refusing to pay. And your link doesn't work, Professor. Missing a 't' at the beginning. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/4482007-judge-rules-mike-lindell-must-pay-5-million-to-election-fraud-dispute-challenge-winner/ -

This gets asked every so often. This is what I wrote a couple years ago.

Cowards and bullies (which are pretty much the same) run away and hide when challenged.

EVs make some cool noises. Mine sounds like a UFO at slow speeds. There are speakers that emit noise to scare blind people because the electric drive is so quiet. The Amazon Rivian vans sound very similar. OTOH, my 928 has a very 'old school' V-8 rumble to it. And my motorcycle has a 'high revving inline 4' sound. Both have standard mufflers, so they aren't 'loud for the sake of being loud', but when I get on the throttle, both of them make some fun sounds.

As much as I hate to admit it, Coooorrrreeeeecccceeeee is sort of right. The 'rabid right wingers' on here have all run away. They kept getting told to 'prove the bullshit you're spewing' and couldn't. The only ones left are the ones who blatantly ignore any challenge to their lies. However, what is Biden going through that is 'similar'? He stutters. He had a pretty bad stutter when he was younger. He's come a long way in coping with it, but it's not 'gone'. As a result of it, sometimes the wrong word comes out. It's part of the coping mechanisms. I had a friend growing up who had a pretty bad stutter. He went through tons of therapy to deal with it. What I see with Biden is that sometimes the coping mechanisms fall a bit short. Nothing more, nothing less. If you look at archived videos of Trump from even a few years ago, the decline is pretty apparent. Look at videos of Biden from a few years ago, back when he was Obama's VP, or even before. There's not a whole lot of change in his behaviors. Another point is that both allies and adversaries have a lot of respect for Biden. Macron and Putin have both said publicly that negotiating with Biden is not an easy task.

Well, I'm not exactly sure what shape the world is. Flattened spheroid is the closest I can find. But for the rest of it:

Trumpty Dumpty and the MAGA Moron Machine would rather see the country burn to the ground than give Biden ANY successes. They've taken 'cutting off one's nose to spite their face' to a whole new level. More like 'cutting one's own head off.'

Since Comedy Central is part of Paramount, and so is CBS, he's been doing the 'promo rounds' on the CBS news shows. From what I've seen he's 'still got it'. Which, given his political stuff (testimony before congress and such), and his long history on air, doesn't surprise me a whole lot. I was talking about this with someone, and I had to look up his previous stuff. His 'Jon Stewart Show' on MTV was back in 93 & 94. 30 years ago.

Trump endorsed candidates haven't done very well the last couple of elections. I'm hoping that holds.
-
Right. That's what he does.

Kind of a shame that there can't be some sort of punishment for all those who repeated that slander. You know, like the trolls on here.
-
So what does it mean?

Technically the 2nd version of the S. Last of the 16v (2 per cylinder), but with electronic ignition and fuel injection. Rated at 310 hp, but in reality produced more. The 1st 32v (4 per cylinder) in the 85 US model was rated at 288. It's cool as all hell. The pic is on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay. In 2014 I took my mom on a road trip to see my sisters out in Oakland. From Wisconsin. It's a REALLY cool car.

Are you serious? I think the "gearhead" crowd is a bit smaller than it used to be, but they're still there. Muscle cars are too expensive, so, as kids have always done, they get what they can afford and work with what they have.

Mossgreen Metallic. 85 S2 Euro if you know what that means.
