As for all those sexist comments comming from the men here ... I had hopped that skydivers are a more enlightened group - you know ...     I like heat too - I have been trying really hard not to turn it on for the past few weeks. I do, however, have a small electrical heater in my office - they crank the AC up in the building and I'm constantly cold in the Summer. O

    It has been dark, rainy with temperatures in the 60s the entire month. This is the worse June ever, since I moved to New England 14 years ago. Again, this makes me feel like I haven't missed much since I got injured, but it's still depressing ... O

    Nope; just avulsion fractures on the left ("chip" fractures), both badly sprained. I'm on my 5th week and they feel very stiff; I started wearing normal, two shoes yesterday, but they are two sizes bigger - I still have a lot of diffuse swelling. O

    Nothin' ... gave up gardening until I buy my own house again. I never ventured into growing vegetables though ... planted flowers, did some landscaping ... that's about it. O

    I respectfully disagree. That's years of patriarchal conditioning talking (all of us have been touched by it.) So, its OK to be strong and independent, as long as we're doing it "quietly" ... Have you ever noticed how a confident, independent, business savvy man is deemed as being successful? Attach those same attributes to a woman and she becomes a "frigid bitch". Be yourself pretty sky girl, without second guessing yourself. Follow on your brother's footsteps and don't feel the need to defend who you are ... In doing so, be prepared to turn off some potential "suitors", but you should be OK with it -- you don't want the weak ones anyway. O

BTW: I think most people could guess what I voted for. Nobody here in US calls me "Oly", but is the short name they used for me back in the old country. Speaking of the poll choices ... I have no clue what those mean; the first couple reference some recent posts; the rest, I have no idea. How do they all relate to each other or myself? I have no clue ... O

    My already strong accent gets more pronunced when I'm drunk, tired, nervous or ... umm ... excited . When I'm really drunk, tired, nervous or excited, I start mixing languages -- it's freakin' hillarious ... O

    “Slinky” … I had to look that up and now that I know what it means, I’m trying to figure out what you’re saying, as “useless” is not a synonym for it. Mediocrity is one of my pet peeves … (and is partly why I found skydiving to be attractive, I think.) I can’t stand “useless people” and I encounter many of them, unfortunately … as I’m sure all of you do too. The way I look at it, it is those mediocre, useless people that make the rest of us shine. If all of us were to be “exceptional”, we’d have to redefine what exceptional is. O
