No fucking coffee yet - so fuck all you fucking fucks out there in happy land - mother fuckers - Me neither ... I've been sleeping for 15 hours ... I'm really sick, no joking - back to bed. O

Head congestion, a bit of fever, everything aches, tired ... just a bad cold, I think. I knew it was going to happen ... it was 90 degrees and humid on the ground ... I was sweating waiting to load up, than I was shivering on the plane because they didn't close the door (was chilly from 8K up.) O

What do you do to relieve stress and anger?
OlympiaStoica replied to skittles_of_SDC's topic in The Bonfire
That's sweet, but I don't have a problem getting sex. It's more a problem of not finding someone I *want* to have sex with. You said it girl -
Good morning ... still sick ... getting worse actually. I guess I'm missing work today as well ... not a good thing, as I'll end up "paying" for it with a backlog of a million things to do ... O

I can tell you that NOT helping with house work will certainly lead to NOT getting any from me. For 10 years I did everything … and I mean everything … go win six figure “bread”, clean, cook, shop, pay bills, paint, plan dinner parties, plan our vacations, mow the lawn, shovel the snow, wash the cars, do the oil changes … I mean, fucking everything. I started being interested in sex less and less - duh, I was exhausted. So, the day that I got confirmation he is romancing and screwing everyone but me, he justified it with the classic “you didn’t put out enough”. Well … duh … see above. So, who was at fault? Him, for not treating me as an equal and share our domestic responsibilities so that I have time to want sex? Or me, for not being superhuman and fulfilling all of my “good wife” duties? “Women’s propaganda” or not, the article makes a few good points. Most women I know will get turned on by a guy who helps out around the home. One of my biggest turn ons is a man who can find his way around the kitchen … and doesn’t need written instructions to boil an egg, like my ex-husband did/does. O

You didn't just say that, did you? O

Oh ... there is one more thing I do (to relieve stress and anger) ... I go buy a family size pack of batteries ... O -
Beautiful, romantic story (of your engagement). Here is to hope that in a few years you won't join the rest of us in bitching about how divorce ruinned your life and how the ex is a monster

Some people are 34C every day. They didn't get it, but I did . O

Not so good morning - I am sick!!! Those rides to altitude with the door open (all the way up) did me in. I was sweating on the ground than shivering on the plane. I am staying home, resting and tryinig to get better. Bad timing to get sick ... I am very busy at work ... O

I've had a Icarus Safire2 210 in my container and now I have a PD 190 ... I should be all set in terms of fitting ... O

Landings ... I am frustrated beyond belief!!!
OlympiaStoica replied to OlympiaStoica's topic in Safety and Training
I would demo a 210 Pulse, be easier to pack and packs smaller than a 190 Storm or 188 Pilot. From the reviews it does not have the deep flare point the Storm and Pilot has, which would make it easier to get the timing down on your flare. Nah ... I'm done being the test monkey for the "newest, coolest" stuff. One mistake is enough for me. I'd rather go with something "proven" that has been around for a little while ... O -
I was going to start a thread about this ... glad I did a search and found that the question has been already asked. Les ... I believe you're the one helping me out testing the Pilot 188 this weekend. THANK YOU!!!

OlympiaStoica replied to OlympiaStoica's topic in Safety and Training
No, no, no ... you were right on. Yes, it has a lot of forward speed (which to me doesn't equate to "docile") ... and also a very steep angle. From what I'm reading, the Storm is a Spectre on crack ... O -

OlympiaStoica replied to OlympiaStoica's topic in Safety and Training
I've always been impressed with the Storm's forward speed; it is fast and I love it! Part of solving 'pilot issue' is finding the canopy that matches you. You're addressing this issue. Good! I've never jumped a Pilot, but I hear it's an excellent canopy for someone of our experience level. -
Good morning ... Having trouble waking up ... I am getting sick. It was disgustingly hot this weekend and the rides to altitude were with the door open ... all the way. Hot, cold, hot, cold, hot, cold ... I was hot and sweaty on the ground than feeling cold from 8,000ft up ... I'm congested ... and everything hurts ... O

Wow ... I was "away" at a boogie for the weekend and my thread just went to shit. Talks of downsizing, the person I despize most (on this site) hijacking the conversation and turning it into another personal "I'm insecure, pay attention to me" thread ... What was I thinking??? Thanks go out to all those that have sent me PM with words of encouragement and good advice. The "you are not alone, I've had / I have troubles too" messages have been very comforting ... at a time when I really need it. Althogh I realize this is a pilot issue and not a canopy issue, I am giving up on my Storm 190; great canopy ... for someone else. (It has 40 jumps on it and it is up for sale. If you know anyone interested, send him/her my way.) This weekend I did 12 jumps on a Pilot 188. I have landed in zero wind all weekend ... yet I did better on it from the first jump on ... I even stood up a couple of those landings. Switching from a 7-cell to a 9-cell my accuracy went to shit, but other than that, I was completely comfortable after the first jump on it. The difference in speed was a huge surprise ... the Storm comes in like a damn rocket, no matter how many describe it as "docile". People who have been watching my landings (in hopes of helping me), have always commented "uh ... you were coming in a little hot there"!!! I don't know (yet) if Pilot is the answer and I will still need help (coaching) to get this figured out, but I have made up my mind about 7-cell versus 9-cell. The openings on the Pilot haven't been as nice as those on the Storm, but I'm at a point where I am comfortable working with less than perfect openings, in exchange for not so scary landings. Thanks for all your help. O -
Fantasy : Mercedes Benz SLK350 Reality: BMW 330ci Yeah ... I can't complain

Great to see you there

I was jumping/landing a new/different canopy all weekend ... even with zero wind landings, I did much better - even had a couple of stand up. Switching to 9 cell from 7 cell my accuracy went to shit, but I loved the Pilot 188. O

Yes, I did! I forgot one more "beer owed" -- 1st licensed skydive at the DZ where it all started :) O
