I bet there are lots of people willing to be your friends ... or "friends" ... If you are super-traditional and must always pay when you are out on dates, maybe ... just maybe ... I could understand; but "always paying" when you just go out with friends? That makes no sense to me ... O

    OK … and now that I took the time to read the whole thing, I can’t quite relate to what has become a main theme in the debate -- him paying for dinner … than chastise you for it … than you chastise him for being “cheap”. I really don’t get this … even on a date, I always offer to pay half of the tab … and I’d say about 90% of the time they take me up on it. Problem solved … out the door goes the reason to even have this conversation. What am I missing? O

    Girl … you know this already. Something I have to remind myself too when I try this thing I hate called “dating”, is that when people show you who they are, you should believe them … the first time. (Somebody else, seemingly smart, said that … not me.) Unless you really like him and consciously want to take the risk, walk away now ... save yourself a bunch of headache later

    Aww ... I'm feeling the love - you guys are great . I did expect to have some poke fun at my (big) arse ... I'm used to it. Yes it's big, but I made peace with it early on when I crossed over into my 30s. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but how boring of a world would it be if everyone was a size 2? Plus, the extra junk in the trunk helps me freefly with the big guys ... and sometimes, even they have to speed up to catch me ... O
