I've grounded myself for the same "reason". I say "reason" in quotes because for others to easily understand or to avoid a long, drawn out explanation, I say it's my vertigo. I actually have lesions on my brain that cause my issues and it's not inner ear related (and that came after years of it being treated like it was). I have Multiple Sclerosis. I still have Antivert/meclazine/Dramamine that I can take when the dizziness starts. It doesn't do anything except make me sleepy so I can sometimes sleep through the worst of it. I've had it go on consistently for weeks. Sleeping on the floor sucks. So does trying to go up and down the stairs in the house. There's also times where there's no way I can drive. Years ago I was referred to a balance center where the physical therapist and I would do all of these exercises and maneuvers that were designed to try to break up inner ear crystals. It didn't work for me but I've heard amazing things from friends who went through the same things and they swear it works if you keep up with the routine. I really hope you can find a resolution that can knock it out of your life for good!!
