    Hey Eddie - We share the same home DZ. There's tons of young people around, mostly dudes, of course, but mostly everyone I've met there has been awesome. If you can, stick around for a drink (non alcoholic, of course since you're 18 ) after the sunset load and people will talk with you. That's how I got into the mix of things and I've made some wonderful REAL friends that without skydiving I probably would've never gotten the pleasure to meet. I have a feeling you'll be fine in no time. Always be kinder than you feel.

    I forgot to say that Pancake went over the body positions with me and everything fell into place really easily. I can't give any "real" advice except to get with a really great coach. It helped me more than you could ever imagine. Always be kinder than you feel.

    Have you done your coach jumps yet? Ask Pancake if he can do some coach jumps with you. He gave me advice on flaring and I had my 1st "almost" stand up landing, then my 1st stand up landing 2 loads in a row. It was beautiful. :-) Good luck and say "hi" around the DZ!     I love to ski. I hope to get at least one long weekend trip this year to anywhere within driving distance, which for me is PA, NY, VT, etc. This is the year that I'm going to try snowboarding! This winter will be interesting because I'll be traveling south for skydiving and then 1 or 2 beach vacations in January and February/March. I can't wait New Year's at Z-Hills!!     Awesome! I wanted an overflow hot tub on my pool but I didn't think it through that it would have to be closed for the winter when the pool is winterized. So, no hot tub. Yet! I see you're in California. I assume you keep it open year round? Here in NJ I opened it a few days after Memorial Day and closed it the Friday after Labor Day, if I remember correctly.     Woohoo! We have underground power lines and my backyard (over the fence) is miles of farmland! Blueberry fields with dirt roads. And the Hammonton Municipal Airport is about a mile as the crow flies from my house. We've joked about swooping people's pools in the neighborhoods where you can land out at my DZ. That would be funny as long as no one got hurt and the homeowner's were cool! Just kidding. Always be kinder than you feel.

    The funny thing is my development is only a few years old and the map under our profiles still shows it as farmland. On Zillow.com, the last time I checked, our development is there but my neighbor's pool shows up (under construction) and my yard is still bare. I'm not sure how often they update those images but if someone was to look it would look like my yard is empty. I had the pool constructed in Spring of 2007. It's a tiny one but she's all mine!
