Nope. Sat home most of the day & watched football. Shoveled a little bit of snow in the morning and hung out with a few friends for a while in the evening.j Not much family around here for me, and I do stuff for and with my mom on a regular basis. I don't need a "Calendar Holiday for it. I'm pretty much orphaned at this point so I was alone all day. Went to a friend's house at 7pm. We drank wine and watched football. A married couple he's friends with, I'd met them once last year when I met them all for drinks, showed up unexpectedly at his house. They were highly entertaining, shit faced drunk. The wife kept saying very loudly, "You two were going to have sex, weren't you?". "We're leaving so you two can go have sex." "You'd be perfect for him. Why don't you guys date?" Ummmmmmm NO(this was the I was the one that got away dude). I was actually getting up to leave when they got there. I stayed, we all drank a few bottles of wine, I ended up staying over since there was no way I could drive at that point. I met a new drink I really liked. It was Fireball and Bailey's. Don't remember what it was called but I think that was what put me over into numb face territory. I'm in a funk still today. And cranky. Always be kinder than you feel.

Yes, every Black Friday, it just amazes me how many people apparently don't have computers to connect to the Internet, so they must clog the highways and stores to fight over goods. Out of all the Black Friday emails I've been getting, this subject line has been my favorite so far because it's pretty true: Always be kinder than you feel.

I'm happy to say I haven't spent a cent today on Black Friday mania shopping. Unless you count the coffee and a buttered roll from Wawa on the way home this morning. Always be kinder than you feel.

I don't know you and this is by no means an attempt at insulting you(nor is it an attempt to hijack the thread here) but i can see the fear mongering has worked with you. Yes, the events of 9/11 were VERY tragic. Yes, lots of people died. However, to use this as your reasoning for being ok with the security screenings that we go through is sad, and, to be honest, frightening. The odds of someone dying in a terrorist attack are ridiculously low(something like 1 in 20million). Frankly, i think the crap we have to go through to get on a plane is ridiculous these days and it's scary to see how much people are ok with it and doesn't make the future of our freedom in this country look too good anymore. I wasn't insulted at all and appreciate all points of view and opinions.

A few years ago I checked it out to see what the buzz was about. I taped over my webcam (still is) and I never talked to anyone. Just clicked through. It was a lot of penises back them too. Freaks. The 4th "anniversary" of my beloved Dad's passing is coming up November 30th and he's been on my mind a lot more than he usually is (and that's a lot!). A lot of these thoughts have been things that have made me laugh. I left the nest at about age 19, but my doctor sent my BCP prescription refill in the mail to my Dad's house. For some reason he opened the mail, took the prescription for 6 months worth of BCPs to the pharmacy to get them all filled, paid for them, then took them to my apartment and left them in my mailbox with a note "Love, Dad". I remember almost dying of embarrassment that my Dad knew I was on the pill. I called him later that night to thank him. He told me I can thank him by not getting pregnant by my boyfriend I moved in with. I also used to call him from bars to come get my girlfriends and I when we had too much to drink and couldn't safely drive. The funny part was I used to call the police station collect from a pay phone at the bar, say the collect call was from Bruno (our dog). He knew that meant to come get me from a certain bar in Margate. He would come over in the police car and we'd all get in. Me in the front and my girlies in the back. He used to side eye me when I would get on the speaker and tell guys they were hot as we passed other bars down the street. He would also use the emergency lights when my drunkie friends begged him. We would laugh our asses off and people thought it was cool as hell that my Dad would do that for me. The next day I'd call him when I woke up and he'd pick me up at my apartment and we'd go to breakfast or lunch and then go pick up my car. He was awesome. What did your parents do for you that was weird or funny?

I didn't picture those trucks looking as nice inside as the RVs. Nice! And going it as a couple sounds ideal! Lucky them and you when your wife retires!! As far as the PP sitch... LOL... thanks for all of that information. I just know I gotta pit stop every hour. I couldn't imagine how people who do it professionally and with a schedule to keep makes it work. You'd think they would've invented a truck seat that can double as a toilet. They probably have not that I think of it but I really don't want to Google that one!! Safe travels.
