  1. When I lived in NY there was guy named Crazy Eddy and his prices were insane......I thought I hated that guy but when I moved to TX I kinda missed him. He had that Howard Cosell thing you don't realize you like him till he's gone
  2. NONONO!!!.........you kill him nice and easy then take his organs and give them to people that need them. That way you can say that killing him is saving lives. I don't know why death penalty advocates never came up with this one
  3. [commentator voice]It's a easy high lob and Brains has left himself wide open.[/commentator voice] I didn't think they could get any lower [commentator voice]well you had to expect that kind of sizzling return what was he thinking[/commentator voice]
  4. I have to ask.....since you haven't read the book how do you know this? actually I think the first couple of exercises are walking your approach pattern and while I'm sure it's a good idea to ask someone if your doing it right. I don't think it's something that requires consulting an instructor and neither are flat turns which are the next module. My point is unless your not sure about something you really don't need an instructor to do the exercises One thing I really like is that all the exercises have you look at the altimeter before and after the turns so you get a feeling of how much altitude you'll lose in say a flat turn vs hard turn etc also the book is very specific that you check your spot before starting and that you stop the exercises at 2500. Theres lots more but for 17 bucks it's a bargin
  5. The book covers things like the physics of a canopy flight, how to tell wind direction without water, trees or a windsock. The in-air exercises cover everything from flat turns to front riser dives(I was playing with my front risers by level 7....up high of course). I would give you more detail but I loaned it out and I can't remember much beyond that. IMHO at 26 jumps I think you would get a lot of benifit from it and in all honesty I need to reread it, because I think there are still things in there that I missed(or went over my head) a couple of years ago. I'm still a baby in this sport and don't make too many statements because I still have a lot to learn but I'll stick with this one. This book should be mandatory before getting your A
  6. hmmm maybe thats why he's lookin at me like that. At least I know not to sleep on my belly when he's around I should stop with these comments. I'm sure it's not gonna help me any...........naahhhh if I didn't put my foot in my mouth allatime people would start to wonder. Cya Friday
  7. Real Vikings don't drink buttery nipples.
  8. Aren't you married? You have no business talking about babes. It should be a blast unfortunatly I have to leave early Saturday afternoon/evening for relative work so I'm gonna miss the party
  9. ***i havn't my A license yet but i was wondering... which one of the risers do what? according to what i know (which is not enough yet) the rear risers should be an optional way to steer the canopy. but if the toggles are OK - why would i want to use the rear risers? is it's influence more fast and massive? i see guys do great hoops - not only near the ground - i'm talking about fast and hard continually circles with face to ground - still in a high alti. are they use the risers? which one? if so - what the other risers do? is it safe to use them in student (club) rigs? thanx for your answers, *** Playing right into my hands Get the Canopy 150 book by Skydive U all that and more is covered http://www.skydiveu.com/flash/videos.htm
  10. Sorry actually it's called Skydive 150 Basic Canopy Control it's by Skydive U it costs 17 bucks, and it's well worth it Heres the link http://www.skydiveu.com/flash/videos.htm Skydive 150 - Basic Canopy Flight: A video and workbook for canopy control; you're not safe until you land. This package contains information about canopy charac-teristics, handling, safety, and accuracy techniques that are developed through a series of ground and in-air practice exercises. Take the mystery out of canopy control*** I read it after my second AFF jump and found the info invaluable(the video that comes with it did nothing for me). In my opinion all the information in it should be required to get your A. The in air drills they have you do are exceptional and give a new jumper a roadmap of skills to aquire(sp) and the means to safely aquire(sp) them
  11. Gentlemen this is not talkback this is a topical forum, and in light of the horrible weekend we had I think this is a subject that should be taken somewhat seriously
  12. If you haven't read it please do I think it should be a requirement to read this during AFF. I didn't find the video all that informative but the book is awesome and full of information that is invaluble to beggining skydivers.
  13. I'm sorry I never got to met you, but I'm sure that the people who's lives you touched are better for it. Fly high, blue skies and puffy clouds forever

  17. How very interesting let me make a guess Fritz went to Sutherland High school in NY and graduated in 1987. He probably played Lacrosse. He has a Brother Jim (Who was in my grade school homeroom) and a sister Karen. My youngest brother Jason was a year behind him. Now I could be wrong, but as I look at his picture on your site I' m pretty sure I'm right. Damn I'm going to have to wait a week to find out if I'm right grrrrrrr
  18. You are nuts I have only turned on my AC once so far this year. Actually it's been kinda mild so far wait till July[devil]. I personally can't wait and then I'm gonna give shit to everyone who laughs at my shivering ass all winter
  19. "You know I can see 2 tiny pictures of myself and theres 1 in each of your eyes, and their doing everything I do. everytime I light a cigarrette and they light up theirs. I take a drink and I look down and their drinking too it's driving me crazy it's driving me nuts"
  20. Why should I? Who said they were mine are they property?
  21. Don't feel sorry for me I have no need for your pity. I can't change it the American voters are too ignorant and self centered to make a change. Add to that the fact that the only people that truly count to politicians are the people that fill their coffers any other show of care is just PR. I just do my best to insulate me and mine from the knuckleheads that run this government. I'm not fool enough to believe in all that you can make a change altruistic BS. I leave that up to people like you that know everything and are here to save us from ourselves.
  22. Be serious to become a president you have to be a lying, cheating, backstabbing scumbag. You can argue about parties all you want but I for one am not fooled one bit by either side. I know the government is out to get me regardless of party and that they are only beholden to the people that fill their campaign coffers. Now you can continue on with your pointless debate
