  1. Stopped off at Lodi for a quick jump today, I noticed we stopped climbing around 2500 ft for a minute or so. Once back on the ground we heard that the Otter hit a decent size bird. The bird was still plastered on the wing when the plane landed and I was told it left a good size dent. Anyone hear anything else?
  2. Nope, I don't disagree with that at all.But you said, "with no questions ask" [SIC]. And that is pure crap. You're right, there would be one question asked; were you ever in fear of your life or your families life? If you just capped someone what do you think the answer is going to be ? If you just shot 2 drunk college girls, there might be a few raised eyebrows, but it would be a good kill none the less. Cap a couple of the brothers stealing your potato chips and it's back slapping and hand shaking all around.
  3. Total crap comment with nothing to back it up. ***. Entering an occupied dwelling with the intent to commit a proprty crime can be met with lethal force. You disagree ?
  4. I'm guessing she's had a just a few "procedures" done in her time. But it's hard to argue with the results.
  5. You do realize that taxes under Obama are the lowest in 60 years? That the vast majority are paying less in taxes now than under bush ? So, let me get this right. You think it'd be the right thing to raise taxes? At least be honest and ask the question in the proper context; Should we first allow the bush temporary tax reductions be extended to 98% of the population, and then work on the other 2%. The vast majority of Americans support extending the cuts for the 98% and letting expire the cuts for people making over $250,00, keeping in mind they will pay the reduced rate on the first $250,00 ( after deductions) which means for most people making $300,00, after deductions, will put them back under the $250,00. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-10-10/cain-pulls-even-with-romney-on-economy-for-republican-supporters-in-poll.html The facts are not the friend of the GOP.
  6. I don't think Wlliard Romney, his wife, and the LDS have gotten the memo on the under-ware downsizing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Garment.jpg These are some twisted folks.

  8. Really? I do. They generally were not screaming that denying the Mosque their space was a violation of the 1st Amendment. This case is clearly different. I clearly did not word that post right ( I have been up 28 straight for hours) my point was that fox and the Christian fundies were stoking the hysteria about the proposed Islamic center. For all their talk about rights, that one went right over their heads (or not).
  9. Hospital privileges require admitting at least 10 Pt's a year, at a family planning clinic, it's never gonna happen. Clothes hanger sales should start to pick up.
  10. Are you kidding me? If it had been Koran study the local Christian's would have wanted air strikes called in. Funny, I don't remember Fox or anyone else screaming when the Mosque, that was legally proposed on 'Ground Zero" was in the news.
  11. If this had happen in any of several southern states, they could have both been shot dead by the home owner with no questions ask. http://writingshares.com/cnn-news-video-saanich-british-columbia-canada-2-female-college-students-arrested-for-stealing-potato-chips/
  12. SSI is means tested. It is not paid to surviving children. Both of your statements are true when applied to SSDI but not SSI. Thanks for catching that, I forgot the D.
  13. My mistake, I thought that you clearly stated that over 15% of your check was being "sucked up" by only your portion of the contribution to SS.
  14. From the article: I think you also missed the main point of the article. it's not that the elderly are doing so wonderful, it's that the young are doing the worst they have done in 25 years. Perhaps your definition of being wealthy and my definition differ a bit. 80% or 4/5 seniors have less than $250,00 in assets (way less in most cases). Having the majority of the wealth, and being wealthy are not the same
  15. SSI is paid regardless of a private policy, SSI is also paid to surviving children regardless of assets. I'm still curious how anyone can pay over 15% of their income in SS tax.
  16. I give up on providing links and showing you that many seniors are far from wealthy. Ever consider that there may be a difference between a senior and a retiree? I have yet to see a (serious) Republican politician make the claim that SS can be tweaked due to seniors being so wealthy and them not needing it. Ever wonder why they offer 'senior discounts" everywhere? http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/income/story/2011-11-06/wealth-gap-young-old/51098910/1
  17. Are you making the claim that you pay 15% of your income to the SS tax? http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/...mum-taxable-earnings How do you know? I'm guessing with your time in the sport, you're fairly young. I have known many that have become disabled (or have died) and end up on SSI, with a couple of young kids, it could add up to hundreds of thousands in benefits.
  18. Very courageous of Mr. Chambers. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/07/us/a-leaders-renunciation-of-ex-gay-tenets-causes-a-schism.html?pagewanted=all
  19. I think there are a couple of other likely options; Means-testing and increasing the employee contribution cap. If you were to combine cuts to SS and replace MC with a voucher system in the future, this country would look very different.
  20. The elderly are going to be "Enjoying" their retirement on $800 a month? Thanks for putting a smile on my face.

  22. 11) They defend their presidential nominee for refusing to release more than one year of his tax returns.
  23. 10 years, hundreds of billions of dollars, and Hundreds (thousands?) of Us lives (8 more today) to support a country that does this? To have this continuing 4 years after he took office is the biggest mistake of Obama's presidency.
  24. The elderly are going to be "Enjoying" their retirement on $800 a month? Thanks for putting a smile on my face.
