  1. There must be a few OPEC countries with a lot more "culture" than we will ever have.
  2. It's exasperated the racism in the already racist, it's helped with the younger generation. Just as negative opinion about Gay's has seen a dramatic decline in recent years with the younger generation, so has racism seen a big decline with the young. For some of the older bigots, Obama becoming president has been their worse nightmare come true.
  3. It's over the top. I pay zero attention to judicial policy that come from religious zealots that also routinely hang teenage girls for having sex.
  4. I don't think it was the comment on the security that riled the Brits as much as Mitt's calling into question their commitment to making the event a success. "There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging. Because in the Games, there are three parts that makes Games successful. 'Number one, of course, are the athletes. That’s what overwhelmingly the Games are about. Number two are the volunteers. And they’ll have great volunteers here. But number three are the people of the country. Do they come together and celebrate the Olympic moment? And that’s something which we only find out once the Games actually begin". http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/jul/27/mitt-romney-gaffe-strewn-london?newsfeed=true Mitt's busy sucking some major British cock while trying to "walk back" his remarks. If he whiffs at a big looping softball, How cold he ever handle Iran? I'm starting to feel sorry for him.
  5. That not the question. The question was how on his first trip abroad did he manage to piss off the whole country of England in only 1 day? Not very "presidential".
  6. His wife's horse makes it all the way to the Olympics and he's too big of a dick to be at her side for the competition. http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/07/26/a-horse-at-the-olympics-but-romney-will-be-nowhere-near/
  7. And this was suppose to be the easy part for him. All he had to do in London was look presidential and hop on the Olympic bandwagon. If he can't even handle our closest allies , how can he handle China? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/mitt-romney/9431064/Mitt-Romneys-Olympics-gaffe-overshadows-visit-to-London.html
  8. Offer to let him do a free tandem, it couldn't hurt.
  9. It's funny how Mitt always pats himself on the back for all the money he donates to "charity". http://exmormon.org/d6/drupal/Mormon-Church-City-Creek-Project-Now-at-5-Billion-Dollars-April-2012 [/url]
  10. 5 billion? put it in perspective, it's only a few weeks in Afghanistan.
  11. If you are so confident the big guy is coming back, why would you give a flying rat's ass about what happens in this world? Would you rather not error on the side of being Christ-like by giving away every dime, spend time with the sick and imprisoned and turning the other cheek? Every generation since Jesus has thought that the end of times were at hand, your prayers are hardly unique.
  12. Moral base and conviction... Are we talking about the same Ronald Regan? The one who sold weapons to Islamic extremist who held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days? What do you suppose would happen if Obama was found to have sold weapons to Iran?
  13. Which, as I think most people here agree, is highly implausible. Oh sure, there are the Walter Mitty hero wanna bees who will say they're as good as SEAL Team Six, but the reality is they're not. I think most here are being honest with how they would react if they were armed in a mass shooting. When idiots like Tea Party Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) make comments that the death toll would be lower if only Colorado had CCW laws (They do) the death toll would be lower. When some of our law makers have such a flawed perception of guns and their limitations, it's a bit scary. He also claimed that's it's some or our faults for rejecting Jesus in public schools. Do you think the NRA or any other tea bagger would ever correct him? Not a chance. http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2012/07/21/560791/mayor-bloomberg-slams-tea-party-congressman-for-gun-comments/?mobile=nc
  14. They were probably the first one's hitting the exits. Yep...carrying a firearm is for self protection...last resort/last stand. It has nothing to do with protecting anyone other than the person carrying it. If an exit is the quickest way to remove myself from the incident, then so be it. If trapped, at least I'd take some comfort knowing I had a .45 that might get me out of that fucked up situation in that theatre. Allowing private citizens to carry concealed weapons as you have described for self defense is a plausible argument, however, this argument is rarely heard. After the recent shooting, and most other mass shootings, the argument most often made by proponents of concealed weapons, is that CCW holders will be a deterrent to mass shootings, and the CCW holder can drop a shooter once the rampage begins.
  15. Usually at this point, you have Pat Robertson tell us that the shooting was due to the rejection of God by our country. Today it was by a sitting member of Congress, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) One of Bachmann's tea bagger buddies who was in the news this week for being a paranoid. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/20/louie-gohmert-aurora-shootings_n_1689099.html
  16. It seems one of the main questions to be asked is why is it that the US, for the most part, is the only country where people just commit mass killings just for sport, no other reason. It seems that the majority of mass shootings (or mass murders) in other countries are done ostensibly under the name of religion or politics. Why are we so different?
  17. There now saying he was a medical student who dropped out. I suppose if a college full of very bright students and MD's can't see his mental condition, no one can.
  18. They were probably the first one's hitting the exits.
  19. Evidently unknown to everyone else, Zimmerman was following God's plan the night he shot and killed TM. That's smart, not only does he try and appeal to Florida's obsession with guns, he tries to appeal to their obsession with God. I guess we'll all have to wait and see what God's plan is for the upcoming juries verdict. God is always keeping us on the edge of our seat.
  20. Why would anyone expect different from a drug addicted, draft dodging, college dropout? Reality has very little to do with what he does.
  21. What the fuck is wrong with me? not a damn thing and I aint asking you about shit. I was wondering if anyone who was jumping there had heard anything else, I packed and left a few minutes after this jump. I failed to conduct a complete investigation, so sorry.
  22. She also does not currently follow the Republican party line on abortion. This is the final nail.
  23. In 2006, I came to California in a 1997 Hyundai and a $100 in my pocket. Today, I'm sleeping in that Hyundai.
  24. Carries too much baggage from the 43rd Aministration. I think there are a lot of people who would either ignore this or see her experience as balancing it out. And, as much as I hate to say this, I think Rice would help take votes away from women and minorities that Obama has mostly secured. Quade, she's a woman. Just one minor problem with Rice, not only is she a black woman, she's a Gay black woman. Not a chance in a hell a Mormon (or for that matter any Republican in 2012) will pick her as a running mate.
  25. I was sitting in the back and felt nothing. Someone who was sitting in the front told me the pilot was thinking about letting everyone out at 3, maybe that was the short delay. There were a few that did a planned H&P from 3. They flew the plane for one more load then switched otters.
