Republicans and women's issues, especially rape and abortion
jclalor replied to funjumper101's topic in Speakers Corner
The Republican talking point is that since the unemployment rate is up under Obama, the unemployment rate is also up for women, hence less "opportunities" for women. The right eats this stuff up. -

Some Texas Christians have way too much free time on their hands.

I really appreciate the offer to help, but I think I'm gonna leave it to some of the other folks that are doing some really good fund-raising for us right now. -
Not me, I always try and vote for the loser, then I can spend the next 4 years saying " I didn't vote for that son of a bitch".

Jordan's doing great, he just went to his high school football game last night. I think he's now fused permanently to his Ipad. Thanks again for all your help with making that possible. -
So I crashed pretty good yesterday, my doctor says the Xray shows nothing wrong, but it still hurts like hell. If anyone knows how to read an Xray, please take a look.

At one point a candidate could never admit to smoking pot. Then you could, but just not inhaling. Now doing lines of coke doesn't seem to be much of an issue. I think the bar will be continually lowered to what was accepted behavior (somewhat) at the time

Donald Trump big announcement about Obama

Perhaps he was just trying to look good on the only two returns we are going to see. And "donating" to the LDS is on par to "donating" to scientology" -

It was a look at how a very small minority, with proper funding, could sway national policy. If the 911 truther's were well funded, they would probably have had the same effect. I cant remember many (if any) GOP incumbents getting tossed out before the tea party became big.

It basically recounted how both the science and dangers of global warming were accepted by both parties until fairly recently. Then a small number of scientist and conservative groups started to question the science, many of these groups received funding from the big oil companies. The belief that global warming was a lie then spread to the tea party, and that''s where the campaign for not electing or re-electing anyone that voiced a belief in global warming really took off. The cause then gained more momentum with funding from the likes of the Koch brothers and large anonymous donor's, who were able to hide their identity. Because of the very extreme nature of the global warming deniers, they ended up loosing the support of big oil. They say that now Republican politicians will not speak out in favor of global warming due to the fact that there will be a ton of money provided to their Tea party backed challenger. This has also made some Democrats very shy from discussing the issue. Global warming was never mentioned in the recent Presidential debates Like all of the other Fronline's, I thought it was a really good show.

Syria Is Iran's Route To The Sea" - Mitt Romney WTF? I guess he's never heard of the Arabian sea or that Iran does not share a border with Syria.

And if I thought for one second, that I would be spending eternity in total bliss, why would I even care about the events of this world. It seems I would error on the side of caution and sell all my worldly possessions and help the poor, like Jesus commands.
