As I said up-thread, why do we focus on type of weaponry? Why shouldn't the indiscriminate shooting and conventional shelling and bombing of children be the crossed line? Either way, the innocents are just as dead. Because, mind you -and I'm sure you don't intend it - the standard you're effectively enabling is one that sends the following message to governments that mass-murder their own people: as long as you use only conventional weapons, odds are you'll get away with it. . I think that the use of gas erases any doubt that you indended to target and kill civilians. At least with conventional weapons, however poor your argument might be, you can always claim you were targeting combatants

I spent 2 weeks in Syria in 08, as with most other places in the world, they really seemed to love Americans, but not the American Goverment. It's good to see that they are all "getting" what they deserve. If there's one thing I could never stand, it was a a three year old anti American extremist. Enough is enough, Syrians are killing Syrians and we can't stand by and do nothing. We need to kill Syrians to stop Syrians from killing Syrians, but don't worry because we'll use different weapons to the Syrians who are killing Syrians to kill our Syrians thereby reclaiming the moral high ground... Genius! Indisciminate gassing of children really does cross the line for me (even non-Christian ones) I'm not sure how anyone could be in favor of not punishing those responsible.

Sit back and savor the moment, it appears I was momentarily wrong. Of course the highly political group Doctors Without Borders has witnessed hundreds of dead and dying from a neuro agent.
-
But this time the UN has found them.

It's interesting that we may side with the group that is diametrically opposed to their neighbor, who we just spent a trillion dollars on and wasted 4,000 American lives propping up.

88-year-old WWII vet beaten to death outside his lodge
jclalor replied to Lefty's topic in Speakers Corner
Do you have stats that the rest of us do not have access to? Perhaps you can cite your source that shows Black on White crime is up after the GZ trial. But I know you don't have facts, You guys have nothing to sell but fear. No one has that data. I'm only expressing my concern. YMMV. I think they do have that data, but it may take a year or two to get it. I would be willing to wager that not only is the murder rate declining, but black on white crime is as well. -
I think law enforcement hostage-crisis negotiators will be studying and taking notes from those 911 tapes for years to come.

Fuck her. I would be willing to bet that before she knew her daughter was gay, she herself was a typical Christian Homophobe. I'm sure she previously would have been front and center condemning those who were in her same situation. It's kind of like someone who's been a member of the Klan for 20 years, and then finding out that their part Jewish, then can't understand why they got the boot.

It was sarcasm. In response to him thinking there was any humor at all in what happened to our troops in Iraq, I wrote the following being highly sarcastic comment: . Nothing but sarcasm.

Suspect's family wants DNA test on Hannah Anderson
jclalor replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
My first impression is what a bunch of asshats... or should she know for sure who her father is. I think the girl has suffered enough. http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/suspects-family-wants-dna-test-on-hannah-anderson -
Perhaps... But as long as it's used mainly on the darker side of town, then I don't have any issues. It may be a very effective tool in controlling crime.
-
. Surely you have a better argument than that. FYI, just for sake of historical accuracy, Saddam never claimed to have WMD for years prior to our invasion.
-
Most of the vets I know did not give a flying fuck why they were there, just that they fought, and fought well so they and their friend's could go home in one piece.

So the government now has the right to tell you what to buy. THAT's constitutional. There is a better way to do this. It is NOT Obamacare. Yup, the Government can tell you to be responsible and not to be a burden to society. Don't you get that? This is why welfare recipeints make more money off the gov than minimum wage earners why work Let others do it for me And you think I disagree with you on welfare? well I don't. We both know where the idea for the personal mandate came from; the heritage foundation, they thought it was the right thing to do until an uppity Illinois Senator thought is was a good idea.

If the intent of the 2nd was for the population to be able to keep a tyrannical government in check, why do you not argue for the right to own Abrams, Howitzers, and f-18's?

Because we all know what a wonderful country Iraq turned into after we we lost thousands of Americans and spent hundreds of billions of dollars. We know for sure they don't have WMD's. That was some real funny shit... whenever I see an Iraqi war amputee I still get a chuckle.

Sen. Cruz releases birth info amid talk of 2016 run
jclalor replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
This quote should be at the very top of SC for all to see prior to posting or replying. It is the rules of the game. Well put, sir, JerryBaumchen This post was about the irony that Cruz will probably end up being the choice of the Tea Baggers in 2016. The vast majority of whom claimed Obama was born in Kenya, and therefore not the rightful resident of the White house. I have yet to hear anyone state that Cruz cannot run, it's just fun to see Birthers have to squirm and say Cruz that should be able to run -
