***Where did you get that FACT? Try the link from me a few post up. VA and medicare always have a higher level of Pt satisfaction than private healthcare. Conservatives always rant about how the government wants to spend too much money, except when it comes to health, then all of sudden they say the government wont spend any. -

The facts are people trust the goverment more than they trust private insurance for their healthcare. http://www.nationaljournal.com/njonline/mp_20090629_2600.php It is beyond me why anyone would trust a company that profits from you recieving the least amount of medical care. Then again no one has ever gone broke under estimating the intelligence of the American public. -

Made 4 jumps and loved the place. Great otter, easy manifest, 79 degrees in the dead of winter, and very friendly staff. The only con was waiting for the winds to change for a couple hours each day.

I was only making an observation about US fatalities and was not trying to offend anyone. It seems making any statement on this site will offend someone in one way or another. BTW, I have been to over twenty five countries and every continent but one. I am VERY AWARE of the world outside the US.

Mabe I am a bit hazy on this one, but does not the phrase "He gave his only begotten son" infer that his son is gone forever. If Jesus "died for all of our sins" why is he still around? sounds like double talk. ...

Just like members of the peoples temple, Moonies, Branch Dividians and Heavans Gate thought they knew the lies behind the US goverment? When you realize why you dismiss all of these groups you will then realize why people dimiss yours.

They "appear" to be healthy and happy yet the girls from a very young age are taught to be submisive to men, that their main goal in life is to produce as many children as possilble, heck they can't even wear pants. The boys are taught the same thing, that they are dominant over women, it's sick, it's wrong and it's child abuse.

I'm sure W. will go down in history as a great "peacemaker" but some how I just dont see it. Did jesus not teach that W. should have just turned the other cheek. Would Jesus have been cheering him on as he bombed and killed countless innocent women an children even if they were not the intended targets. God does know all, and would have known that countless innocent people would be blown to bits. If one beleived that when one died he would spend eternity in paradise, why would you even care what happened here for the 70 or 80 years when you are alive. Let alone run for office, I know Jesus spoke somewhere that he was not apart of the earthly kingdome but of his father's kingdome. If I truly believed in Jesus I would sell all my belongings and give the proceeds t the poor, I would turn the other cheek. I would cover all my bases. It is also interesting to note that about 15% of the general population are Athiest and yet only about 3% of felons identify as Athiest.

The evidence for this is overwhelming and I would consider that evidence extraordinary. As with the big bang, there is more evidence that confirms it than refutes it. Like what? Jesus parting the clouds on a white horse, watching people being raptured into the sky, the Sharks making it to the Stanley cup finals. I never claimed the OP essay as my own, I think it was pretty clear who it was by. as for the other qoute if I knew who said it I would have cited it.

I just dont understand why intelligent people who use critical thinking skills in most aspects of their lives put on blinders when it comes to their own religion. If a person is truly honest in the search for truth, they must begin with the premis that their is nothing their and then search for evidence that supports the claim. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. While I may not be a thiest, I would change my position if I saw compelling evidence that could not be ignored. Most thiest how ever state there is nothing that could ever change their position. When you understand why you dismiss all of the other thousands of possible Gods, you will then understand why I dismiss your's.
