Years ago, when safety wasn't so paramount, a guy I jumped with use to pull mine out everytime I climbed out of the cessna. It is not hard at all to reach back and grab it.
-
4750 I too forgot to get a shirt, where can we order one?
-
I didn't have the camera set to get very good grabs, but here are a few from Saturday's flock.
-
It is very easy, so why not?

Have you been engaged or married before and aren't now??
crutch replied to girlygirl's topic in The Bonfire
Married twice, divorced twice, what have I learned? When I figure it out I will right a book and makes lots of money. -
I keep hearing about floating puds...if you pud gets knocked loose, reach back to the pin, grab the bridle that is loose, pull to full arm extension and let go, you just deployed your main.

Don't jump to conclusions here, I teach all of my students with a pull-out!

Lessons learned from my first Cut-Away & Reserve ride
crutch replied to JGarcia's topic in Wing Suit Flying
Jairo, what did the napkin at Applebees say DOCILE I didn't realize that was your first one! Hell no wonder you spent the night drinking! And anyone watching the video doubts you could have kicked out of those line twists, but the landings in the field are the best! I think the air over that field was funky since both you and eric biffed your landings! -
Chris, I have to say you are one heck of a guy for stepping up and saying somehting about this. I heard a lot of stories going around the DZ when this happened (amazing how fast the rumors get going). As a fellow rigger (had a few to pack in Dublin, something was in the air????) I am glad you came right out and told the story, really settled a lot of questions in my mind. As far as people trying to flame each other in this public forum, get a life! I have been attacked a number of times in these forums for some of the jumps I have taken on. If you have a problem with someone, call them directly, this is not the place! Get some balls and face them directly, enough of the backstabbing already!

Hey chuck, what can I say, good job, glad I could help you get back into the air! Yeah, I am not sure what was in the air at Dublin, but I ended up packing four reserves this weekend (mains were packed by four different people, no flaming of packers here), but....yours and the one on the rig I lent out were most definitely packing related. Take care!

I also want to thank everyone for a great time! Lisa, babe you are the best thanks for everything, next time you are in a wingsuit, I promise to have lots of video of you! Sorry we missed most of the party Saturday, I had to pack a reserve and Tammie had lost her voice (still doesn't have it back). The ladies in the registration tent were great, one of the best run boogies I have been to. Alana and Justi are two very entertaining girls, good vibes where ever they were (I wish I had a picture of ya'll in the RW suits though!). Thanks to Isiah and Vladi for let Tammie and I use their tent, The PD guys were great! It was nice to meet Eric (thanks for your help throughout)and Daisy, great flocking dive Saturday night with the new Birdmen (pictures will follow soon). I know I am leaving a lot of people out, but everyone needs to thank Spence for putting this AWESOME event together. I am not sure he got to do much skydiving, so next year let's make sure he has the time to get into the air! Only thing I can think of to make it better next year is a few less reserve rides! I ended up packing four during the boogie, let Cathy catch the fifth one. Don't know what was going on, haven't seen that many reserves being deployed all of last year! We will be back again next year!

jumpingbean001 and I (crutch) jump all over the state together, but I am at home in Palatka.
-
That no matter how many jumps you have or how confident you are, you can still make mistakes. I also learned that I am a very lucky man and not just in skydiving!
-
Very nice bike! Have fun on the roads!
-
This time next week, Tammie and I will be in Dublin sitting at a table full of skydivers telling lies

The more I think about this the madder I get! This guy was an absolute moron and is being supported by morons. The deeper this story goes, the more I want to wring someone's neck. If you want to be stupid, do it in someone else's sport! Quit messing up our reputation! We have enough trouble with just the inherent danger of this sport, why do we have to let stupid people tarnish everything we work for?
-
Here, here!
-
I know some guys with the same problem!
-
Not a step through, but when it was packed the tail went through the c/d lines. It was problably was packed this way, I have seen it done. As the canopy inflated and the lines stretched, it came undone.
-
Nice new avatar! One more to go! Great jump at the end of the day Sunday, sorry your canopy openned up prematurely, sometimes those things just happen!
-
Word to the wise, there are some pretty convincing people out there, this guy was saying he was on a demo team with someone who was very well known at our dz, hence we slipped checking out his credentials initially.

How long has it been since a DC-3 dropped jumpers in Georgia???
crutch replied to CSpenceFLY's topic in The Bonfire
Years ago at the hills, we regularly fly the cross with 50+ skydivers in it. About 25 minutes to 13,500 with that many people. -
Chuck, you will either like or want to get away from it after one jump. The other thing is it takes a lot out you physically compared to any other jump. I know Bram does a good job of instruction over in z-hills during the winter months. Have fun with it, if it ever becomes work, you need to step away. That is my besy advice.

Bastard!
