Same here[:) My Dad was a JM and Pilot in the 80's. My mom did 17 jumps I think. As for hearing the stories, they make me wonder how he was able to keep a straight face while giving me shit for the stupid shit I've done. We were at a reunion this past summer for people who used to jump at PST in the70's and 80's. Heard some very interesting stories and met some even more interesting characters... Ya for now i just want to play around with video editing. I just called sony and they said the pc101 is not compatable with vista. However after doing some searching online I have found that it is compatable via i.LINK which IS firewire yes? http://esupport.sony.com/CA/perl/news-item.pl?news_id=128 Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

Lol, my laptop dose not have a firewire port. Is that something that I could easily add to my laptop? Sorry all this stuff is totally foreign to me, Im very computer illiterate. Maybe its time to admit defeat and buy one of the Idiot proof Iboxes Edited to add: Is The sony DCR-PC101 compatable with Vista? Will I need to get the software from sony? I picked up a pc101 as a first camcorder to start playing around with video. The problem that Im having is that im not able to upload the video to my computer. After searchin around online a bit I found that I need to install spvd-008 usb driver but it dosent seem to be compatable with vista. The camera didnt come with any software but i can get it from sony. Im totally lost here, any help would be great! Cheers Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
