I dont have any advice of cheap freight but heres a story about shipping gear. Right before I was travelling to Australia last year I sold one of my rigs to a guy in Sydney. I offered to bring it ovr on my flight that was a few weeks away for the cost of extra baggage $50. He didn't want to wait that long so I shipped it to him express at his expense, around $200 if I remember correctly. Well it got to Australia within 7 days. Then sat in customs. Good luck finding something that will fit properly. i am also 6'4" and Im thin. I was able to find a few rigs that fit okay but finding a second hand rig that will fit like it was made for you is not going to be easy. Keep an eye on the classified section, it also wouldnt hurt to post an ad there stating what you are looking for. Anyone have a tricks or advice for readjusting sleep schedules after doing shift work? Im 2 days out of working night shift for the last 6 weeks. I worked everyday for the last 4 weeks straight so its safe to say I had a very normal sleep schedule for the last month. I got 6 hours of sleep everyday, In bed at the same time and awake at the same time everyday for a month. Well now it's over and my sleep schedule is TOTALLY screwed up I used to swing shifts every 2 weeks from days to nights and it wasn't nearly as bad as this. When comming off night shift I would usually stay up all day the following day to get back onto a dayshift schedule. I did this after my last night shift and I was sure I would sleep for at least 12 hours to catch up on some rest. Nope, sure enough, even though I had been awake for 26 hours and hadn't had a day of rest in a month I was wide awake 6 hours after I went to sleep. it sure is fun being waking up at 1am ready to start your day... Thought I would go for a nap yesterday afternoon to help make it thru the day... well I made it thru the day and most of the night. Slept for 12 hours and woke up at 3 am I guess I should be alright in the next couple of days. Just in time to spend 18 hours of fun hanging out in airplanes and airports. Life is a never ending clusterfuck of petty and sometimes serious shit, my life for the most part is a perpetual fucking catastrophe. Albeit very comical most of the time. It's all about how you take it and what you do with, your life can be shit, or it can be fucking awesome, it's all up to you. hahahaha Yeah I bet it was the time of her life. the most recent one that I was talking about what some chick that I hooked up with in Airlie beach. It was like 3am and I was fucking blind drunk, was most likely calling her by the wrong name and was too damn drunk and tired to even finish the job. I have no doubt it was the best night of her life and dont get the wrong idea about me having one nght stands and running away, I cant remember that last time i had a one night stand that ended after one night. The reason I bailed on this chick was that in the morning as soon as she woke up she hit the bong. This might come as a surprise to you, but I HATE that shit. So I bailed. I assumed that given the circumstances of how we met, Drunk as fuck canadian in a tourist town at a backpackers bar, she wouldn't be expecting a long lasting relationship to blossom out of a night of drunking grunting. A bit of both, Probably had one of my best years of jumping yet! Went to almost every boogie that happened in eastern Australia this year and visited 16 different DZs. If you thinks the odds are low in the states you should see it here. There are very few available women available in skydiving here. I would say my year was pretty average, not bad, hooked up with a lot of backpackers, mostly girls from sweden and germany :) but I would say that I was out of my element if you know what I mean.
