More than likely stolen Mirage G3 for sale in NorCal *PICS*

Hahaha gotta love how they obviously openeed the main to see what was in it and couldn't get it closed again. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:) -
Where are you jumping in Australia? Get intouch with some of the local gear dealer / riggers and let them know what you are looking for so they can keep an eye out for you and help you find some suitable gear. They gear you want is out there, you just need to find it. I was looking for a used safire2 159 (an odd size) and I found one eventually. My first rig was a second hand Jav with a pilot 190 and PD 193? reserve. My exit weight was right around 190. I got that rig at around 30 jumps. The pilot at that wing loading was a great canopy to learn on and screw up on. It was fun to fly, easy to pack and had good openings. After putting just over 100 jumps on that canopy I would put it down where i wanted to pretty much everytime. I could land cross wind and downwind without much worry. Having that canopy for my first 100 or so jumps definitely saved me a couple of times. Like the first time I found myself landing in some high crosswinds after trying to make it back from a bad spot. The landing wasn't pretty by any means but I walked away from it. Second time it saved me from worse damage was when I was still new to no wind / variable wind landings, there is pretty much always wind at my home DZ so landing in no winds or downwind doesn't happen very often. I was following the pattern which was very light downwind. I wasn't used to landing with so much speed and ended up sliding for quite a way and got some pretty bad scrapes on my leg (think roadrash) that I still have scars from 4 years later. Around 150 jumps I downsized to a used safire 2 159 at almost no cost after selling my pilot. It maybe cost me a $200 to change canopies after jumping the pilot for a season. So when I went to the saf2 my wingloading was around 1.19, not to far off where you will be at on a 170. The first 50 jumps I put on that canopy were very frustrating, I had to totally relearn how to fly THAT canopy, my accuracy was off, I was losing more altitude in turns than I was used to and things were happening faster. I would not have wanted to be under that canopy for some of the landings I had on my pilot. Get yourself a used 190 and put 100-200 jumps on it then sell it and buy another used canopy for little cost. Try and find a used container that will hold a 190 as the largest main so you can go down a size over the next year or two while still keeping the costs of gear down. Nice work dude! So what kind of scores did you post? That accuracy stuff can be pretty challenging. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:) -

Work/life balance for me, but not in the typical way. When I am at work, I am at work, many times living in a camp onsite. Usually working 12 hours a day 7 days a week for however long. Last job I was at I worked everyday for 2 months straight and towards the end of that project I was doing 14-16 hour days for the last few weeks. Now I am doing the life part. I have 3 months off to backpack around SE Asia and do whatever the hell I want. I go back to Australia to go back to work at the end of the year. I will do the same again, work for a few months then take a few months off and travel back home to Canada for the summer. I really enjoy this lifestyle. It's definitely not for everyone. I've pretty much given up on having any sort of long last relationship, it's hard not being able to see my good friends and family, but it an awesome adventure thats always very challenging. The travel part is pretty cool as well. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

Where does it say that? The part where i am told I can't control my drinking and the only way to stop is to surrender to a higher power. So if Im being told that I can't control one part of my life, why does it seem reasonable to assume I can control all other parts of my life? Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

So is this something that only alcoholics have to do, or do all christians have to do this as well? Surrender to a higher power and and accept that they have no control over the thins they do in life. So what if I surrender to a higher power then continue drinking, is that my choice, or gods? If I stop drinking without the assitance of god, does that make me a higher power than god? Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

I just spent a year traveling and jumping the east coast of Australia. There are MANY options wherever you go. Check out the skysurfer forums and the APF website listed a couple posts up for different events. There is always some kind of boogie or competition or training events happening. When are you traveling? You will need to get an APF membership but you can buy a temporary membership for 1, 3, or 6 months I believe. There are also some different rules in Australia regarding what you are allowed to do as far as size of jumps go. Maybe someone else can better explain how the star crest and freefly crest work. You should definitely get onto the Skysurfer forum. Its a great resource for meeting people, finding events and the Australian crew is very hospitable. It's very easy to find rides to the DZ, places to sleep and new friends to have a beer with :) Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

Wow is right! That landing looked like fun Glad the bird made it out alright -
You expect me to get out of bed in the morning after a night of drinking rum and robbing dirty pirate hookers and peddle my ass to altitude? DUDE, most morning it's all I can do to not puke in the plane on the ride to altitude and now you want me to do a fucking 20 minute cardio workout? A better idea would be to get a hot air balloon and get me to breath into an open flame... I'll get that shit to altitude quicker than the fastest super caravan. I could see an interesting plot where the FBI needs to get inside a drug smuggling ring where they fly across borders in wingsuits carrying large amounts of cocain, then ride dirt bikes thru the desert and have to base jump the grand canyon. While the FBI dude falls in love with the sister of the ring leader. Then his cover is blown just before he makes the bust and they do some kind of extreme mister bill base jump off the hover damn and FBI dude lets the bad guy go because they are now good friends... Or some stupid shit like that. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

The food is pretty typical asian food. Lots of noodles, lots of vegetables, lots of fish. You get a mix of everything on Malaysia. Thai, Indian, chinese, western and whatever else. I've had some of the best curry here I have ever had. Haven't had a good piece of beef since I have been here. Many places don't serve pork. Weirdest thing I have seen is a place where you can pick your own bullfrog If you like spicy food this place is great. You can get a good filling meal (1 dish) for about $1US a full meal of meat rice a veg for $3. Beer isn't that cheap here, around the same price but you get a litre of rum for about $5 and the stuff is actually pretty nice and doesn't give me a hangover, even after 3 bottles in a night :) Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)

When did you start swooping?
hcsvader replied to FallsLikeABrick's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I didn't really start doing high performance landings (swooping) until I had around 400-500 jumps. Most of the jumping I was doing before that was bigways at boogies where HP landing were not allowed because of traffic. During those jumps I focused on flying a pattern that will put me where I want to be at certain altitudes as well as working on accuracy on almost every jump. There is no reason you can't start using your risers, both front and rear to help with your accuracy. Talk to your instructors about how this works I did a season of classic accuracy on a big slow 7 cell just to help me learn more about flying a pattern and landing exactly where I wanted to. Once I decided I wanted to start adding riser turns to my landings I took a couple of canopy courses and had video debriefs of every landing. at almost 600 jumps now I haven't done anything larger than a 90degree turn for landings, but I am where I want to be, at the hight I want be and I am getting some really fun, fast, and exciting swoops in, and they are on a safire2 loaded at 1.2 I am confident doing these turns in high wind, no wind, cross wind and down wind. No Im not flying a small canopy or doing big turns, but I am having fun and staying safe. You can start learning to fly your canopy to it's full potential at anytime, take a canopy course, or if ones not available around you ask some of your instuctors that are doing HP stuff what you need to work on to get there eventually. If you can find some local competitions that have a junior accuracy meet, they are a great place to start off in canopy piloting. Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:) -
7 km hike in the Penang national park today. Hiking in the tropics is brutal! was soaked in sweat 10 minutes in. I saw some forest gecko's, a turtle, some fish, some crabs, a hermet crab, a BIG water monitor, and was attacked by monkeys :) Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
