  1. I only have a little over 100 jumps so take it for what its worth but sounds to me like you should probably just work on being conscious about the position of your legs. If you flew past him you are using to much legs, if you go out there on a jump and start to backslide you are not using enough. If you're above or below you should probably work on fall rate too. I've had the same problems, still do a little but its nothing you cant get with some practice.
  2. Welcome to the forums and the sport and if your gonna get licensed you better get used to it. Its damn addictive and will eat your money like no other sport I've ever been a part of. It's worth every penny though. Skydive Chicago is a great place to get licensed. I did AFP in a week there and loved it.
  3. The SIM just talks about what you can do with it but it doesn't say what you have to do to get it other than have a B-license and 100 jumps. Is there a written test. Do you have to demonstrate skills in the sky? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. So after reading that shit I of course had to talk to her. Honestly, she has no fucking clue she just told a bunch of guys they were. So now idk, anybody's guess could be the right one, could be turtle, could be bolas, could be *shudders* me. She wants to take a trip to The Ranch this weekend then off to Skydive Toronto. See if she can figure out what's what. God knows how many she'll actually have to visit before she figures it out. Is she doing the rounds trying for DNA swabs Thats what it sounds like.
  5. unfortunately it does. Like I said, its from the early years of high school. Thats why its such a stupid sn.
  6. sorry to the people who tried to contact me, my battery died on me. I gotta start bringing both.

  9. She still logs in but I haven't seen her post in awhile. I was just talking to her, it was that or learn something. Fuck you college, thank you instant messenger. I have to agree with you guys she seems cool. Got a lot of shit on the fourms for the type of posts but, eh. As far as the pictures go once the myspace got deleted the pictures got moved to photobucket. I'm sure if you send her a PM asking for the link you'll get it. Edited to add: After talking to her again she said it was OK to break the news. Yes, shes pregnant and the kid is mine. Crazy shit happens when people run around drunk and naked.
  10. What is the meaning of life? and what happens to us after death?
  11. How come you know that? Care to share with us? Nobody ever taught me that edit: wanna be polite It wasn't taught in my FJC or by one of the instructors at my DZ. I was told by a guy who was visiting the DZ. (he is an instructor at a different DZ) We were talking about line twists and he brought up the toggle thing. I had line twists the next day but i decided to kick out of them. flying a 210 w/led at 1.0 I really have no need to use toggles as the canopy is quite docile. i have yet to have twists put me in a spin on my back and i had about 5 or 6 twists on one. One more thing to add. Just don't set yourself up for line twists. do a good job of packing and make sure you have good body position on opening and you shouldn't have to deal with line twists all that often. I used to run into them quite a bit and then i was told to focus on those 2 aspects and it made all the difference. another habit i got into (i'll let the experienced guys argue whether its a good or bad habit) is to grab the risers as soon as the canopy is out and pull apart to battle line twists before they start.
  12. Is that what we should have them put on your head stone? Thats exactly the type of attitude that will get you killed... or someone else below you. I've done stupid shit and made stupid mistakes. Everyone has done stupid shit. but jumping a w/l of 1.6 at your level, well your making a mistake everytime you leave that airplane. Idk where you jump but at my dropzone I doubt they would even let me jump a 1.6 w/l with my number of jumps. and you know what? I don't want to jump a 1.6 w/l yet. It's just dumb. You don't have the experience yet. Also you have 5 years in the sport and only 123 jumps? you cant be that current and yet have a 1.6 w/l? wow. and yes I already know about using toggles to get out of line twists... i wont do it but i know how to.
  13. Lol. Thanks for the laugh, and don't worry... these boys are used to getting cock blocked.
  14. I tried, they wont let me serve. Even though pretty much all my disqualifiers were when I was young. depression, asthma, adhd, criminal record. I really wanted to serve... They just never called me back.
  15. ...and in rebuttal: When the asshole freeflier tries to talk you into it before you are ready saying you don't need to learn how to fly on your belly, ask him what body position his training involved and what body position he is in at pull time and then tell him to fuck off. Well heres the thing. This dude had the balls to tell me I needed to get better at belly flying even though he had never been on a jump with me, he had never seen video of a jump of mine and as far as I know he had never even heard about jumping with me. Basically he just assumed I needed work on my belly. Asshole and a half. I wasn't trying to talk them into freeflying right away. I believe they should wait till they have experience on their belly. I was simply letting them know not to get discouraged everytime they meet a new Douche Bag McGee who is telling them they shouldn't be doing something. (Unless it has to do with safety, always listen when its a safety issue)
  16. if you want guns go ahead and vote for McCain and then go sign up for the service that way you get to shoot guns all day for the next, we'll say, 4 years.
  17. farm girls? porn? that sounds like my kind of dz. But seriously he wont even sit down to talk with you guys about it? that just sounds like hes actively trying to be a jerk.
  18. And you know what this is like, how?
  19. welcome, to both of you. Thats cool that you guys are starting at 18. I really wish I would have started at 18. As far as advice, really listen to your instructors, especially if you do something incorrectly take what they say and really work to fix it on the next jump. This also applies to coach jumps.
  20. on the 'drunk bus' at Western Illinois with 3 friends. this big burley black guy is sitting behind us. he starts rubbing my fat asian friends arm and says 'take it' and keeps rubbing. that one has become iconic among our group.
