    Yeah that's pretty much what I was thinking. Is it much cooler in the morning or not really? My classes run from 8am-1pm. This is in Orlando btw in case city location makes a difference.

    I've been told it's quite a bit but I can only find average amounts not average number of days per year. I ask because my car is a piece of crap and I cant take it with so I have to ride a bike to and from school which if there is a lot of rain could really suck. And if it's really as humid as people make it out to be I better get some gold bond for the boys.

    I just picked it up for the x360 yesterday. Haven't even opened it yet. I'll be starting soon though. Definitely when I get settled in at school. Gamertag is: IamPatrickc Whoever mentioned MAG. Don't buy it! They keep patching it in an attempt to make it better and they just make it worse. Noobs bitch on the boards cause they are dying too much then they nerf all the guns. It went from awesome to terrible with one patch.

    I missed this one the first time around. I think I was still high on pain killers even in early Feb. Is it weird that I don't really remember all of them and that I don't really care?

    If it all works out and I make it out I'll definately hit you up. I'd be willing to do both skeleton and bobsled if you thought you could get a pro driver. I'm not a skier or snowboarder unfortunately but if your friends at UOP could get me onto the ski jump ramps to give it a try I'd love to. Very much kidding. I appreciate the offers man. Should this work out (I'm not that hopeful right now) I'll shoot you a message to see whats up.

    I checked out both of those and Lake Placid has skeleton but they don't list dates and Calgary has bobsled and luge only.

    I'm still not sure if I'm going. If I do it will be for the March 10 or March 17 date. They need 4 people registered for the class to happen so even if I decide to go and they don't have 4 people I'll have to cancel. If I go out there I'd consider tunnel time depending on the price.

    I gave google maps a look and didn't see a major airport closer but thought I'd ask in case I missed one. I am considering going to the Olympic Park to give skeleton a shot. If I could fly in to somewhere that is closer than an hour drive I'd love that. If not, oh well.

    After doing some more reading it appears the i7 980x would be faster for the actual modeling and compositing but the xeon's would be faster for rendering which was what I wanted the speed for from the very beginning. Now instead of waiting for the 980x I'll be waiting for EVGA's dual socket board with the overclocking features of their classified series of X58 boards. ETA: I was gonna go with 16GB (4GB x 4) of RAM for the single processor. Opinions on how much on a dual processor setup? Another edit: everything i said was wrong the 2 xeons would be faster than a single 920 but the 980xe will have 12 threads vs. 2 zeons having 8 making it a faster renderer.

    The info I'm finding says that you can't do a dual processor setup with i7's due to missing circuitry or something like that. So that would leave Xeons.

    Actually I already have a MacBook Pro that still works great and will remain my main computer. However since Windows is pretty much the industry standard for the visual effects and game industries I intend to build a Windows machine to run all that software.

    Do I wait for the new core i7 980X EE (hexa core gulftown previously thought to be called i9 on release) and hope that it comes out in March as rumored or bite the bullet and buy the current top of the line quad core i7 975 EE or buy the low end i7 920 with the intention of upgrading when the hexa core is released? Before someone says something, yes I do need the power. The computer will be used for 3D modeling and animation. While the programs aren't optimized for 6 cores yet the early test results with an early sample showed 50% increase in speed for rendering and such. Also if anyone has an educated guess as to when the 980X EE may come out I'd love to hear it.

    I don't know if anyone around here knows the answer but it's worth a shot. Does it affect your credit score when a bank closes your account on you BUT gives you a new one right away in trying to thwart fraud? I ask because I just looked at my credit report and the new card with the new number shows as a completely separate account from the old one that was closed on me because of one of those CC processor hackings awhile back. All the stuff I can find online is about cards that were closed involuntarily due to inactivity. In that case it does go it down. The worst part about it is that it was my oldest card which I know makes a huge difference in credit score.

    Mornin' ya'll. Not necessarily a good one. I'm losing a lot of sleep over figuring out which school to go to and how to get money for it. I pretty much decided on 1 but then I started having second thoughts due to the cost. Now I might end up going to my second choice. Whatever I decide though I have to do it soon. My body can't take this sleep schedule for much longer. Enough of my whining though. Bry don't bitch we had record snow fall AND an earthquake on Tuesday.
