Why do you feel the need to insult females with that nasty wording. You hate females or something? Disgusting the word you use here makes the "N" word seem like a nursery rhyme term....... (and NO, I dont like either word I am just comparing) Seriously, can the outrage. It's fucking stupid that that word is even offensive. Would you be just as offended if he would have called us vaginas? Cause that's essentially what he did. You do know the technical definition for the word, right? I'm going to assume you don't so here's the definition. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/cunt

My friend went down this road. Don't go back to work till you get paid. My old boss kept telling my friend he would pay him the next week, it went on for 4 weeks, my friend was out $1,500. It's been years and he still hasn't seen a penny. Not that that will happen to you but it could.

Or maybe you should quit yer bitchin' and get an extended cable or satellite package. Then you'd have BBC America and you'd know what I was talking about. Not to mention it would probably remind you of home. Then maybe you wouldn't be so angry. -

It was on the Tele. Don't know if there is an article on the website. -

How does a news story about people complaining about how ugly their wheelie rubbish bins are in one town count as WORLD news? If that's all you guys have to worry about over there you are in pretty good shape. Crazy BBC. edited to change some terminology to the Queens English. -

Dude no way. How old are you!? You should probably get a new avatar pic that isn't circa 1980. But seriously good luck to her. -
I'm not saying he hasn't done anything for skydiving. I don't know the man or his accomplishments. All I know of him is his recent posts. All of which are incomprehensible and incoherent. It's fine if he wants to bash the USPA but he should at least try to make his opinion clear and coherent. I haven't really seen those aspects in any of his recent posts.

I don't think the reason is important. The important thing is how amusing these things are. Kinda like walking down the streets of Chicago and running into a crazy person just rambling to themselves and it all makes sense to them. I love it.

Damn. Wish I would have seen this thread when it was started. It's a little late to make plans now. -
how long to get your A license
skittles_of_SDC replied to VEGAS_MIKE's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I did 'A license in a week' at SDC last year. It took about 8 days due to weather. There was a guy out there going through the program last week that came out all the way from New York to do the program. There was one guy in my class last year that came out from CA. Edit to add: I don't think weight would be a problem either although you'd have to call to be sure. If I remember correctly they have you round up to the nearest canopy size and then add 40 lbs. That would put you at 270. Although the biggest canopy they have is a 260. Like I said you'd probably have to call. -
I broke my leg Jan 1, 2009. I now have a plate and 10 screws (plate and 8 in the Fib 2 in the Tib). About 5 weeks after that one of my friends broke his ankle down in PR from something that wasn't even his fault. His foot got stuck in a hole and broke. Another friend broke fingers down in PR. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about quitting. But then I think about how much fun I have while skydiving and all the great friends I've made that I would be leaving behind. Thinking about quitting lasted maybe a week if that. Now that I'm healed and have been back for the last 5-6 weeks I'm glad I didn't throw in the towel. I've made some major mistakes in my life but for me personally, that is to say not everyone will agree, quitting (because I'm scared) would probably be one of the biggest ones I could make.

Low Time PP Lands KingAir - New Audio/Video
skittles_of_SDC replied to NickDG's topic in The Bonfire
http://www.aopa.org/aircraft/articles/2009/090414pilotsave.html looks like yes and yes. In the video he says he's rated for single engine. In the article it says the same thing and as for the low time, the article says he has 230 hours in a 172. I don't fly (I just watched the video because I like listening to ATC) so idk what's considered low time. -

I have your number. I'll pass it along to my friend Johan.

Irish, South African and Australian. Edit: Scottish is cool too but its essentially the same as the Irish. The main difference is the Irish go up in pitch at the end of sentences whereas the Scottish go down in pitch.

If you're on Facebook, don't forget to grab your name!
skittles_of_SDC replied to ntrprnr's topic in The Bonfire
Why don't you hook it up for all the dz.commers so we can get names early too? -
That's to get stuff pushed to your iPhone over the air. I'm talking about when you plug it into your Mac. When you plug it in it does all those things.
-
Wish I could. I just realized my reserve went out of date today and I'm kinda hurting for money so idk if I'll be getting it packed and jumping this weekend.
-
Grab an iPhone while you're at it. The integration is tremendous. As soon as you plug it in your address book automatically gets updated with that girls number you got the night before. All your appointments on your calendar automatically end up on your phone. It's great.

I haven't been to CSC but at SDC it is like pulling teeth trying to get people to put the nylon on. I'm the only person that jumps a wingsuit on a regular basis. INCORRECT! How many WS jumps did you make at SDC last year? In 2007? In 2006? In 2005? In 2004? I'm sorry if you disagree but I'm referring to people I see out there every single weekend. There are some that have wingsuits but they are mostly freefliers and break out the suit very rarely. I'm speaking strictly from what I have SEEN personally.
-
I don't know if I can make it out there this weekend. I have a friend that was supposed to head out to SDC with me. I have to talk to him but if I can convince him to go out there another time I'll try to get myself out to CSC this weekend.

Likewise, if you hear someone screaming/moaning/fucking too loudly, go investigate! And bring a camera! Oh, the memories that brings back. I know a couple skydivers who would disagree with that statement. haha.

I'm flying a Tonysuit Intro. The issue I have is that there are not very many wingsuit fliers at my DZ and the few there are don't jump on a regular basis. The one wingsuit flier that is always there is an AFF instructor and doesn't get much time to do fun jumps. This means I don't really have anyone to go up with to watch me fly and critique my body position and things of that nature. So basically I'm trying to judge how my body position is based on feel, which I know is not a good thing.
