Bump... Come on guys... where's the love??
-
My ex husband is 22 years older than me. We were great friends, but like someone said, we had huge communication problems. Travis is 6 years older than me and just perfect! Older, but not so much that we have nothing in common.

I've read that before, but it still gave me goosbumps and makes me want to say "AMEN!"

I saw the picture and I loved it! I thought it was adorable!!

Nevemind... but I'm only cutting you slack because you were the one that introduced us!

Thanks a lot Kevin... I knew I could count on you.

He had it changed when he moved down here - so HA! Are you going to help me or just give me a hard time about it?

I know this is last minute but it's worth a shot... Travis (F1Freak)'s birthday is July 31st. I am hoping that all of his friends here will help me with something... can you get a tshirt from your drop zone, or whichever dz you go to this weekend or next, and send it to him as a birthday surprise?? This will be something that he will totally not be expecting but will absolutely love! If you are willing to help... please email or PM me and I will give you the details. Please be kind and not point this thread out to him. He can only get on the boards a couple of times a week so I feel comfortable enough that he won't see this one. By the way, he wears an XL! Thanks a lot!!!

Mason Dixon at the county fair in Texarkana, Texas around 1992 or so. I hated it and couldn't wait to get out of there! The best concert I ever went to (thus far) was George Strait in Shreveport in 1995.

Congratulations!!!! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!!!!

Pressure to give up skydiving ?!
jumpergirl replied to linuxguy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I started jumping in 1994. My parents totally supported my skydiving when I first started. 5 months after I started, my dad started jumping. Over 3 years he only made 30 jumps and had 4 malfunctions!! (He never learned to pack, so it wasn't ever his fault) My mom was there for the last one and just about had a heart attack when she found out it was him. She begged him to quit jumping. He jumped one more weekend then quit. He felt the pressure. They would like for me to quit, but they know how much it means to me and how much I love it, so they are ok with it. My grandmother, on the other hand... she made her first, and only, jump in 1996. After that, she tried to tell us (Daddy was still jumping at the time) that "We've all jumped and made it so now no one should jump anymore. You've done it so now move on to something else." I think that was the first time I ever talked back to her!! Now, I just don't talk to her about it. It's better that way. -
I'm quite partial to a certain camera guy!!

What do your parents think of your skydiving?
jumpergirl replied to andy2's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
My parents were very supportive of it when I first started. My dad even spent 3 years jumping with me. Then he had 3 reserve rides, the last one with my mom watching from the ground, and he stopped (due to extreme protesting from my mom). They support me, but of course they worry. They are excited when I am and are way cool "whuffo" parents! Mom even points out when something is "skydivey." Hahaha! -
I'm so sorry to hear that... I send prayers and thoughts to your friend!
-
I thought so... but still a good one!
-
I found this on Hotbar... does anyone know anything about it? I think it's a cool shot!
-
So what about F1freak and me??? Just because we haven't been around much lately is no reason to leave us out!!
-
I am so sorry to hear about that. My mom has MS. It has taken almost 10 years for it to manifest and really slow her down. It effects everyone differently. Montel Williams, Terri Garr, and Annette Funiccelo all have MS, and they are all effected differently. There are tons of medicines out there... I pray there is one out there to keep it from progressing too quickly. May God bless you and keep you safe!

Thank you Karla... thank you for extending this to all of the people that cannot attend... we appreciate it!
