  1. So far, that's what I have found. I haven't had any problems with the pat-downs. I got the impression from the report this morning that the pat-down may be more... invaiding? One of the teasers to the story said something along the lines of "you had to take your shoes off before, now it may be more" or something to that effect.
  2. On the way to work this morning I heard the news guy say anyone traveling this week, or in the near future, needs to check out www.tsa.gov to get the latest on flying security and the new security procedures that have gone into effect recently. So, since we're flying tomorrow, I went to the site to see what they said. I didn't see anything other than the normal stuff. Does anyone know anything about this?
  3. Dish Network customer service SUCKS!! I had nothing but problems from them. I canceled and demanded a refund (which was the only thing they did halfway right) and switched to Direct TV. We've been with them for a month as so far they have been absolutely wonderful.
  4. Ditto! I have Cingular and my Dad was with AT&T. I had better coverage and service than he did. I doubt I'll change providers any time soon.
  5. Prayers and good thoughts from us.
  6. I got carbon monoxide poisoning so badly that the doctors in the ER were amazed I was still alive. They said I should have died in my sleep, without question.
  7. Since the day after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping day of the year, I would say let them start a week before Thanksgiving, but no sooner than that. I would definitely sign something like that! I'm sick of seeing all of the decorations and stuff, too. It seems like it's earlier and earlier every year. Enough is enough.
  8. What a wonderful idea! I think that would be a great addition to dz.com forums.
  9. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom. Be strong for her, she needs that right now.
  10. Travis filed his taxes for last year and expected a return of about $800. Instead he got a letter saying he owed that money to the IRS and he was not getting his refund! Have a nice day.
  11. Travis got a letter from the IRS a few months ago, but it wasn't a registered letter. They told him he owed over $800 after fines and late fees for not paying $200 back in 1994. Hopefully yours is better news.
  12. He still doesn't have full use of his left hand (good thing he's right handed!) so typing is VERY slow for him right now. Hopefully he'll be posting soon, though.
  13. Of course I want you to bring Lucky with you... but we don't have room. Using your equation... Trailer + Jaime + Broken Travis + Sky = "No way!" I can't wait to see ya'll again!! Have a safe trip next week!!
  14. How could someone just throw away pups as adorable as those!! They are beautiful!! I hope you are able to find good homes for them all!!
  15. I went to Jimi De's here in Zephyrhills. He is "skydiver friendly." He did a great one on Travis' leg, but it's covered by a cast now so we may have to go back and have it touched up. Can't wait to see you Liz!!!
  16. We Were Soldiers It so dramatic and touching... I've seen it twice and I seriously doubt I can watch it again, although it's one of the very best movies I have ever seen. It's much too realistic and heartbreaking. I'm very close to my dad... I can't stand to watch the movie and think of my dad being in Vietnam. It has upset me both times, for a long time afterwards.
  17. I thought it would make it more unique.
  18. I felt every nerve that I never thought about!!! IT HURT!!! But I love it!!
  19. I love it!!!! I just got it last night... on my birthday!!! It HURT like hell and I kept wishing Travis was there with me but he didn't want me to wait. What do you think???
  20. I agree... from what I have been told it was a wild ride. Some old men were sitting on their front porch and saw it all. They said he looked like a cartoon character for a second. I don't want to imagine what it must have looked like.
  21. I agree, too. It's $500... cheap for them, a nice check for me.
