  1. Thank God. I thought I was going to shrivel up and dry out. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  2. And some a lot of people do both. What I look for in friends and lovers is beauty of the mind, not of face and body, but that doesn't make me blind either. I continue to object--strenuously--to the abuse of language in this thread. Redefining words to reach a predetermined conclusion just leads to confusion for everyone. Finally, I maintain that online "beauty contests" are a really bad idea. All IMO, of course. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

    Confess!

I postwhore at work. All day. Every day. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  4. But they could. Both of them. It's been done before, and it will be done again. There are gay men out there who are in partnered relationships with children who are their genetic children. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  5. I know bill already responded to this, but I'm just wide-eyed and slack-jawed. It's not only the cheapest of all possible shots, it also doesn't follow from the discussion--we aren't, and never were, talking about inter-species relationships involving human beings. But I'm somewhat relieved that you have included a God-approved relationship in your list, because it tells me clearly that your position has nothing to do with what is considered Biblical and everything to do with your own world-view. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 6. You're welcome. I'm happy about the family I grew up in. It wasn't perfect-- none are-- but I can't feel sorry for myself, claim victimhood and blame my background for the problems I have. IOW, I consider myself extremely blessed. But then I have to look at others who didn't have the advantages of a happy childhood that I had and I truly admire them for overcoming the obstacles that I didn't have to overcome. Most of them are better people than I am. I think that God is gracious to ALL of us in some way or another--- in giving us the grace to overcome or in giving us the grace of a happy childhood. And the above relates to the topic how, exactly? Oh really? That's funny, 'cos I thought it did at the time. Oh well. I'm wrong again. What an ignorant child I was. Unusual child. Children do not normally think of their parents as sexual creatures, nor do they voluntarily consider their parents' sex lives, unless such thought is forced upon them. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 7. No, Sarah, that's not what I'm doing. The unfortunate part of all this is that Walt and I had most of this discussion in PMs. My point at the outset was a post I made early in the thread to which Walt responded by PM. I don't like threads like these because they end up hurting someone's feelings. Walt did not agree, and he took the position that...well...the position that he took. But his position requires redefining words as they are customarily used, as well as redefining the topic of the thread. My point remains that threads like this have too much potential for hurt. Walt's point remains that for him "hot" and "beautiful" are interchangeable. Other than that, I don't really feel like rehashing the discussion we had, but it had nothing to do with me telling Walt what he can and cannot think. Take up your cudgel elsewhere, okay, because I'm really fucking exasperated with this discussion. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  8. That has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with exactly what I was talking about: disruption in the household. Thank you for the additional example from your own experience. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  9. I have to go to work, and the rest of the time, I'll be online. It'll be just like old times. Love, Mommy If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  10. So it's okay with you that heteros get the benefit of gay tax dollars but not vice versa. Figures. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  11. POST! POST! POST! If this goes wrong, I'll be on your doorstep, cat in hand, soon enough. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  12. The one with the three of us--you, Geoff and me. Looks like you found a chink in the armor! POST! POST! I dunno... I'm going back up there (where she is) to live. If I piss her off...I'll have to move in with you. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  13. You forgot to make it totally plain, bill: Gay (and single) tax dollars are being used to subsidize hetero families. Explain the fairness in that, MB. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  14. I would hope so. The ideal family consists of a wife and a husband, living in fidelity and peace with one another. If you want to expand the concept, a loving wife and husband who are blessed with children is ideal. How about a submissive-but-battered-anyway, born-again-Christian wife, an abusive and mentally-ill husband and two terrorized little kids who grew up all fucked-up as a result? Sound good to you? LJ's a handful, but if I were still young enough to need parents, I'd pick him and his husband hands down over what I had. Kids don't care much about their parents' sex lives, MB. Mostly they don't want to think their parents have sex, so the nature of the pairing isn't particularly relevant to the whole equation. Children need rational, thoughtful people who can give them consistency and order in a chaotic world. A gay couple at peace with themselves and each other is a whole lot better choice than some screwed up "natural" family unit where the kids have no idea what's coming next. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 16. The only picture I have of you that's already scanned is the tandem you did on your 18th birthday. Love, Mother If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  17. Me, me, me!! Pick me!! I'm ready to furnish the seraglio, and I have my harem all picked out. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  18. I did not tell you to say "crunchies." I told you to say "hot fudge." Get it right next time, will ya? Otherwise, you will be punished severely for your disobedience. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  19. Actually...I do think I have some nekkid ones... If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  20. Yes, and you just gave it to me. Pass the cake. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  21. I sincerely don't believe you have the capacity to follow the rational parts of this conversation and until I learn otherwise, I don't think I'll spend much effort engaging you. But its fun! He didn't mean it. It's just what I told him to say. This thread could be another "I am a Christian...." You did good, Keely. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  22. Yes, dear, but I always redeemed you before they took delivery, and you still got to keep the quarters. (Btw, Marvin's going to be a daddy--the baby is due April 8. I guess since he bought you, you and the little one are somehow related.) Tell 'em you're going to pay $50 to have 'em hauled away. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  23. She's more like me in that regard, darlin'. The baby pictures are not going to do the trick (she was a really, really cute baby). The only thing that really embarrasses her is when I act like myself. Parents aren't people. Didn't you know? rl P.S. Got any baby pictures of you? 24. Actually, Richard, the people in the world I want most to have an argument are Narci and GTA and Shotgun and...well, I've got a list. And you want to know why? Because it would be interesting. Flip a coin for the side, and have at it. But as it stands, I have to be satisified to read their replies and say to myself, "I wish I had thought of that." Educational in its way, but not quite the same as duking it out and figuring out what the best of all possible arguments is on any given subject. And, too, they're people of character. There's something to be said for having character, because there are so few people in this world who live up to their word. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 25. I'm sorry. I couldn't follow this. What does one back up an argument with besides observable facts? Are you saying the the folks at Nat Geo (and all the other biologists who have done this research) made this stuff up, and that those of us who have actually seen homosexual activities among animals are hallucinating? Is that what you're saying? rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
