    Viking probably does.
  3. I just want someone to... ...never mind. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  4. Uh... If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  5. You can say that again. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  6. You didn't allow for multiple picks. I don't think sex is the answer for back pain, although I do think it can fix many other problems, physical and otherwise. Ibuprophen is good, but I always take it with ginger. Ginger has pain relieving qualities of its own, and it's gentle on the stomach. 1000 mg. every time you take the ibuprophen works just fine, and if you add cayenne (100,000 Scoville Heat Units), you're ahead of the game. I wouldn't mix alcohol with Tylenol. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  7. If it turns out that a fair number of us have taking the MBTI (or similar test), I'm going to put up a different poll to see how it breaks out. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  8. You are not an idiot. If he never did anything like this before, you had no way to know he would do it this time. Don't let him do it again. He's has shown a complete lack of care for you, and it won't get any better. He's not your friend; lose him. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 9. IMO, male introverts are far better lovers than extroverts. Far better. There are some exceptions, but they are few and far between. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  10. Not the question you were asking (sorry), but I believe that introversion and extroversion are hardwired and that there are studies to verify this. If a child starts out introverted, he will remain essentially that way all his life. Some of us do break out situationally, but the general personality type doesn't change. rl Edited to add: "Thinking"? There was never any doubt--ask anyone who knows me. You can find my picture next to the word "aberration" in the dictionary. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  11. Thanks, shy boy. Weird result. I'd like to see a bigger sample. Logically, it would seem that skydivers would be extroverts, but my gut and my experience tell me that just the opposite is true. The same with some of the more voluminous and outspoken posters. I'm a definite introvert--almost to the point of being schizoid--but to certain people I will talk about everything (easiest on the phone, but possible with some in-person), and when posting, I will write about almost anything. The monitor barrier makes it all possible. When I worked manifest, I had to force myself to be extroverted, and it was extremely difficult for me. My way of dealing with it was to inform but not engage. I test as an INTJ. No surprise there. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

  13. I wish you had posted this in conjunction with a poll. I'd like to see if there are more introverted or extroverted skydivers. I'm also interested in how many introverts find it possible to be extroverted online. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  14. But it does have "a spine," as do all the other items. Edited to add: the representations of these things in the pictures have "stripes" of a sort, but real cacti and armadillos aren't striped, and not all umbrellas are striped. So the question is, are we talking about the thing itself or the representation of the thing? rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  15. Bingo. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  16. Well, they're all water-resistant. Not the skunk itself, but the odor of skunk. But that's pretty lame so it can't be the answer. I've tried to think of all the things that these items have, and I can't come up with any kind of commonality. Doesn't the game come with an answer sheet? rl P.S. Not "skunk weed," "skunk cabbage." Edited to add: There is an armadillo plant, as well as an umbrella plant. But that's pretty lame too. If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  17. The answer to that is the same as it was on r.s several years ago. If you want a different conversation, start a different conversation. People talk about/write about what interests them. You can learn a lot about another person by what they post, sometimes good, sometimes bad. You write good, thoughtful posts, so the answer is, write more. Start more threads. Direct the conversational style to where you want it to be. rl P.S. to CS: I was thinking of a different body part altogether. 18. I like the way this entire thread has turned into a personal attack against women. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  19. That has not been my experience. Your own abilities & talents do not necessarily negate $kin's general observation. Uh... Given that I am not a base jumper (or a boy), my abilities and talents have nothing to do with it. If, however, you want to gather together a group of likely test subjects, I will positively revel in being proven wrong. Voyeristically yours, rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
  20. Give them a link to this thread, so they can see the variety of negative opinions about what they did. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

  22. I'm going to tip him through the business office. Message sent, although I don't expect him to "get it." He's likely to just resent having to pay the taxes. Given the way I read the paper these days, I may cancel the subscription anyway and just pick it up when the mood strikes me. rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. 23. by far this is not the case and is actually quite opposite to current general BASE practice. She's not asking what the truth is; she's asking what the stereotypes are. I'd add "crazy." rl If you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb
