sure it wasn't you?

Have you ever flown into there? I have, there are (or were in 1996) exactly TWO jet flights a day landing there from Min/St. Paul. And they call it the "Sioux Gateway INTERNATIONAL Airport. Of course the joke is on me cause i lived very close to there for three months in the winter of '97 Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

It was next to the beer trailer i believe, but she didn't walk up behind me and smack my ass like you did. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I have one sitting here on my computer desk as well. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Had to make it clicky! SWEET!! Nice work guys, and girls. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I was reading the thread and thinking, "Everything is fine, Peter said in his book to always have multiple ways for people to contact you." Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Hey Peter, i don't own an exboard but i do have a ripstick and a couple of people at the dz have a wave board They all appear to be similar. They are fun, a lot of fun. I showed up at the dz with mine, after learning to ride it in private and by the next weekend there were three more out there. I take it down the hills in my neighborhood. It is good exercise too. Get one and practice in your apartment. Side note: I recently bought your book and i am thoroughly enjoying it! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Odyssey OJK - What size canopy have you safely put in there?
Brains replied to Chris-Ottawa's topic in Gear and Rigging
When i went down to a 109 in my OJ it was too small. I could slide my hand between the pin and the flap. A few people told me to just not pack as tight, or don't shorten my closing loop so much. . . I didn't feel comfortable with that at all. YMMV -
To go along with this, i would add that one of our vidiots keeps his vid in a heating pad from landing to gearing up if he is keeping his stuff inside. Hope you figure out a solution either way. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Hey mark, i think the guy at skyfest 2006 should get one for having three parachute rides in one jump!! I will never forget watching that video and listening to his story. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

**Checking to make sure this IS Bonfire. . . ** You're just biased in favor of the man, man!! In all seriousness, this isn't a good situation for EITHER party to be involved in. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

In my opinion, Jason Peters is one of the best freefall cameramen i have ever seen. He can film anything in any position and he only flies a flat top pro. Norman kent and Jason both filmed the latest HD record with top mounts. In all fairness, Bucky filmed it too and i think he flies a sidemount. I have filmed freestyle, freefly, belly, tandem, and skysurf, all with a flat top pro. It CAN be done, don't let someone else tell you that YOU can't just because THEY can't.

Custom camera helmet, Wes Rich CCM style... FINALLY finished!
Brains replied to The111's topic in Photography and Video
Very sweet! I got to see Jairo's up close last time i was in Sebastian and i had decided that i was going to see how yours turned out and either make one or bite the bullet and have wes make me one. Not now obviously. I have to agree with DSE too, the cost is insignificant compared to the experience and satisfaction of making something like that yourself. Congrats! You SURE about that?? Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Canopy, a heavily modded cobalt 105. I sent it back to skyworks and they fixed it, by then it was too late. I now jump (well, not NOW) a katana 107 and have sold all video flying gear. My old FTP weighed around 7.5-8 lbs. These openings were virtually instantaneous, about 12 in a row while training for nationals last year. Surgery was just three weeks ago so it will be a while before i jump again if i get to. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

His poor neck? Lol, I now have a plate, four screws, and some fused vertebrae in my neck! (pics coming soon) Result of several slammer openings while wearing a 20D, sigma 15mm, trv19, all mounted on top of a flat top pro. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

That would be "The Brain" I don't like being confused with shit like that. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

I have not jumped a safire but i was very impressed with a guy jumping one and kicking our asses in one of our cpc comps this year. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Dude! I was eating lunch, don't do that! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Do they come with tweezers or do you have to carry your own?? Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

yup! I set up too close to the bank, especially for a slightly downwind approach, and smaked the bank. It resulted in the pic shown below and a special entry into the "Post your hot swoop x-ray" thread. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

Were they suits, or were they long shorts and shirts? I haven't seen them recently, but they used to wear custom swoop shorts and custom shirts that resembled cyclist shirts. Edit to add: Most suit manufacturers will make you some swoop shorts it you ask. I have some from firefly, bomber, and am getting some from liquid sky hopefully soon.

I will agree with Phreezone about asking for advice online and really ask a lot of questions of your instructors during your pre-jump training. I am not going to attempt to tell you how to track but i will tell you that i had a student(when i was coaching) that had the same problem and we fixed it by breaking up the "turn 180 and track" into two distinct movements. Turn 180 and find a heading, then track. Too often, students start tracking while still turning and either don't know how to straighten out or don't realize soon enough that they are turning during their track. Try it, and ask your instructors what they think of it.

Congrats Dave! So, did you have the largest canopy there??? Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
