We tend to let em sweat a few weekends and then get two teams together. Distractors and pie-ers. Then we ambush them and pie the shit out of them. Without pulling out the maps, Dallas to San Antonio is about 5.5 hours drive time. San Antonio to Corpus Christi (coastal) about 2.5 hours. Houston to Dallas probably 5.5 hours also. With that said, There is tons of stuff to do in all those places and everywhere in between. Are you wanting to do touristy things or more local hang outs/ local culture things? Like bars/clubs or more fine dining? Wives coming along or just two single guys having fun? Help me with a few details and i can send you some suggestions via pm. White water rafting out in the big bend area has not been so good lately. Serious drought the last several years. There are a few places you could rent rafts and kayaks on some other rivers just north of San Antonio. I can't speak for other dz's in the area, but ours only rents student gear and the smallest main we have is a 190 i believe. Going from the Big Bend area to Corpus and back up to Houston, then Dallas? That is one HELL of a road trip, you would definately get an idea of the size of TX It's over 800 miles from Big Bend to Houston and that is going directly there I would sugest leaving dallas and heading south on 35 to Austin, New Braunfels, and San Antonio, then heading down to the coast into Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. Then over to the Houston area then back up to Dallas. That would give you a huge idea of the different types of terrain we have here. Of course you would only see about 1/4 of the state but that is ok. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

We have a thanksgiving day feast and gun fest at out dz. It is an annual thing for all the homeless skydivers. (college town) After the meal we all go out and shoot skeet, pistols, targets, paintball, etc. Of course there is no jumping on that day and we are all drinking like vikings, but this IS TX and that is normal. My office is right next to the base where the airshow is Sat. The blue angels have been flying damn near all day today. Hard to get work done with all these planes coming in for the airshow.
