Justi! Glad to see you are still flying and having fun! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
  5. Cut squash and zuccini into disks or spears (or both) and put in a foil packet. Add sliced onion, bell peppers (i use red and gold ones for color) whole garlic cloves, and seasoning of your choice. Add in some butter and seal foil packet up and throw on the grill. I also sometimes use salsa or picante sauce instead of butter and do the same thing.
  6. I'll give this a shot. I have a couple hundred jumps on a cobalt 105, couple hundred on an H-modded cobalt 105 (basically a comp cobalt) and a couple hundred on a Katana 107. I agree with what phree said regarding dives. The katana dives like no other canopy i have ever jumped. I have never flown a crossbraced canopy so that comparison is only other nine and seven cells. The katana also has lighter front riser pressure than the regular cobalt and about the same as my h-modded cobalt. Glide ratio on the katana is also steepest between the three with the comp being slightly steeper than the regular cobalt. When jumping the katana, you learn quickly how far out in front of you that you need to be planning, it is much different than the other two canopies and everything happens much faster. Openings are butter on all of them (I had a "good" cobalt) The katana openings do tend to seek slightly on opening but never violent or spinning, just searching and almost always ended with end cell closure that tended to clear quickly. Personally i liked this as i was almost always jumping full camera gear (ftp, 20d,vid, flash.) and have neck problems. My cobalt (both) liked to be bumped on rears for the swoop and then would need very little additional input with a long toggle stroke and tons of bottom end power for the final flare. It took me a while to get used to the katana, and found that steady pressure on the rears and a smooth transition to toggles was best. I still believe that no other canopy has more bottom end lift than a cobalt. I don't necessarily think one is better than the others, it is all about preference and what you like to do with your canopy. If i were still jumping and trying to compete in cpc, i would get another katana without question. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
  7. but you are saying he WAS in Montana? I say guilty by association Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
  8. No jumping there anyway The beach either corpus christi beach or go over to mustang island/ port aransas. However when i was down there two weekends ago, there was a ton of seaweed washed up on the beach. USS lexington is docked there and i have been told it is cool to go take a tour of, you are probably tired of big boats though. TX state aquarium is also in or very near corpus as well and i have heard that is really cool also. Have fun! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

  14. We just switched over to an HSA in June of this year. We gave our employees a choice. $3000 deduct. and we will pay 100% of the employee's insurance. If they choose the $1500 deduct. we will pay 80% Knowing my track record, i took the lower of the two. I like the idea behind it from an employers standpoint, and with the option on the deductable, i like it from an employee standpoint. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

  19. For your use, any modern container will be fine for both. An appropriately sized main for you will get you on the way to proper canopy control, follow this with some canopy coaching and you will be on the way to swooping as well. You main canopy has no bearing on freefall portions of your skydive. And your container has very little to do with your canopy flight as long as it fits you well.
  20. yeah yeah, never heard THAT before! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

  22. There is a state run nude beach in TX that is 18 or over ONLY. At the resorts i have been to that have nude beaches and/or nude pools, same thing, usually the whole resort is adults only. However, many naturist camps are family oriented. They are usually private clubs and as such can be much more selective in their clientele. At a naturist camp/resort, the people there are used to being naked and know the difference between nakedness and sexuality. They don't have to go together (not directed at you Ian, i know you know the difference) On a public nude beach or in a public art gallery, you get a whole different mix of people, and thus one can't control how others perceive what they are seeing. Some people will always see nudity as sexual. The rest of us know the difference. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
