A Public Apology To Don and Louise CROSS Skydive nagambie
gregpso replied to gregpso's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I put it "out in front" as the untrue comments made by me were put on a public forum so I thought an apology "out in front" may help. I agree with you in that they do not have to accept it. I tried lets leave it at that Re "poor me" no not really as stated they do not have to accept... and I have no problems with that but I had to try. I did cause it after all Prob time to move on. I admit selfishness by me in that i tried to clear my conscience by posting. I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -

Good advice Ken. I have happy memories go to you tube greg demon aff 1 and aff 2. There is a happy person at a happy pro DZ before I self destructed. No one can ever take those jumps away from me. I will act on your good advice.. eventually I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -
A Public Apology To Don and Louise CROSS Skydive nagambie
gregpso replied to gregpso's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi it was made pretty clear via email earlier in the year that I was not welcome back. I just thought on the 12 month aniversary of me last jumping there (yet another tandem) I would try an apology again. However the silence is deafening. I tried my best and the apology is sincere. I do not give up easy and will try again at a later date. Between you and me I have not got the balls to show up in person (it would just be too awkard) although I would gladly offer the apology face to face if I thought their was a chance of it being accepted. Some folk cannot be tolerated by others and I obviously fall into that catergory there.\ I have accepted that my time in the sport is over... I am happy I made the 66 jumps including 19 tandems and 3 AFFs at Nagambie No point continuing this thread what is done is done you all stay safe and do a few jumps for me c ya Greg W I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -

A Public Apology To Don and Louise CROSS Skydive nagambie
gregpso replied to gregpso's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hi prob alot of ways to get banned from AFF. My way.. firstly I did 3 AFFs at Nagambie (with great instructors etc) Everything went fine on all jumps. But being the dickhead that I am I kept endlessly asking about safety issues and kept asking and promoting Skyhook RSLs. (like who I am with such low jump numbers to do that!) Anyway kept on doing it and finally Don the CI at Naggambie had had enough and advised me that AFF was no longer an option for me. I got kinda mad and wrote some dumb things on the Aussie forums , The Aussie skydive is a fairly small community and once you are "one the nose" its hard going somewhere else. I was very lucky a magnificent CI called Ralph at Austrtalian skydive gave me 2 free AFF jumps to continue on so i did that but i cannot see myself going back as one skydiver there hates my guts so out of respect for ralphs dropzone and in the interest of harmony at his Dz it would be awkward to return. I also upset some lovely females on the Aussie forums by saying a blue comment about woman being accepted easier into the skydiving world than men. I did not mean anything sexist by it just repeating warnings I had read in the woman forum on drop zone.com A storm followed that comment (I tried to apologise to no avail) I still wonder how I could have been so stupid as my return to jumping in 2008 to 2012 was the bestest of times. BUT I STUFFED IT ALL UP I will just do a tandem or 2 interstate or overseas where I am not known Its all a bit weird cause I am usually a quiet and reserved person but some how grew another personality on line. Still scrastching my head how I did it. Thats my story. thanks for reading GW I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -
A Public Apology To Don and Louise CROSS Skydive nagambie
gregpso replied to gregpso's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Nothings changed BOB Skydive Nagambie was and still is an excellent DZ with good people. I made some bad mistakes by some dumb posts on here about gear and stuff. Don the CI at Skydive Nagambie (a highly respected figure ) banned me from AFF. He was only thinking of my welfare. Idiot me got angry at the ban and slagged off on these forums. Don and Louise seem unwillingly to accept my apology (and who can blame them.. certainly not me) All my fault and I will have to live with the consequences. I do not know what else i can do. I reaped what I sowed I wish you all nothing but the best Greg W I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -

A Public Apology To Don and Louise CROSS Skydive nagambie
gregpso replied to gregpso's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I hereby offer a full and unreserved public apology to the owners and CI at Skydive Nagambie in Australia. I made a lot of dumb comments on here. The fact is they run a terrific drop zone with expert instructors at reasonable prices. I once said I got used as a cash cow by doing so many tandems (19) . That was absolute rubbish as it was my choice to do them. and with the cost structures in Australia .. reasonably priced. I even did a second jump on the same day (many times) at a discount rate. By any measure I have been a fool and trashed some thing I loved doing. Don and Louise Cross and all the crew at Skydive nagambie are fine and honorable people and I admitt full fault by my actions. My visits there were the best of times. What a fucking idiot I am for messing it up. Something I feel the shame of every single day . Full Apology offered I will jump (excuse the pun) through any hoop to make amends, best wishes all Greg W tandemgreg@live.com.au I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ?? -
At 66 jumps ( 23 tandems) I stil get called a whuffo i would call you a bowler I thank you for that Charitable reply squeak. I just wish none of this had happened and I could be Mr annoy and turn up again and jump. Big mistake by me how many times do I have to say sorry. Not a very forgiving lot.(except Ralph of course a very chariatable man) Have sent emails etc to Don and Louise and got nothing in reply.(Apologising) Last time I looked I have not kliled some one... but I was a complete dickhead/ Any chance of forgiveness !!! PLEASE !! (NAGGAS GOLDEN BROWN KGB AND ALL OTHER AUSSIE JUMPERS) i WILL JUMP THROUGH ANY HOOP TO MAKE AMENDS. Loss of individual freedoms due to increased gov intervention in my life But..but...your insurance comopany already intervenes in your life! So...how is the government any worse? No, I pay for a service. At times we may disagree what I am paying for And, I can drop an insurance company if I don't like the service I would be stuck with Obamacare Add to this, government intervention in what insurance policies have to cover complicates the problem even more In the end, the difference tween you and me? I don't see insurance companies or corps as evil (IE, I am not jealous of them) I see them as a necessary service. These are companies that employ Doctors to deny medical treatment to folk. Nowhere at present (Glen waverley Bowling club) Bridgy said welcomed back anytime. Nagambie will not even reply to my emails (I cannot imagine why LOL) I have tried to extend olive branch but they are not taking it. You reap what you sow in this world (lesson learned !!) I got the bowling speeech via email said " based on posts on SS and here you are only welcome for tandems !! That hurt as the 3 AFFs I did there went without a hitch... as well as the 19 tandems. I still have not gotten over the hurt if the truth be known. Like I said MY FAULT ENTIRELY I tend to be a bit different. enjoyed my time in the sport or is it an industry these days ??

I would like to.... buts its illegal here. I can carry a gun to protect govt officals (when working)but not myself or family I can see both sides of the argument... if every one carries handguns the murder rate goes way up.. but if you cannot be armed you are at the mercy of the bad guys. Pretty hard to defend your home against attackers with only a baseball bat. (In australia you cannnot even carry pepper spray) So I would like the good people which are the vast majority to be able to defend themselves but do not want the bad guys to have guns. Not posible of course So I spend 8 hours working 1500 to 2300 hrs carrying a hand gun (that is personal issue but must be kept at work) to defend the building and employees.. but then have to travel on a train home at 11.30 pm at night just hoping nothing happens.. defenceless !!
