JohnRich did suggest this to me. At the time, I was sure the pc was still in the BOC, I just couldn't get it. 1st thing I did after I was under reserve was to check that it was secure. I know this is one of those scenarios where some advocate one or the other. I am not advocating, but simply stating what I did. YMMV

It's a 190. It's overloaded, (I'm an anvil), and I will be purchasing a larger, newer reserve. Raven 2 is what it is. Just felt weird. Sink rate, I started on f111 9 and 7 cells. Maybe I'm just not used to it.

I have a rule: Two and through. If I try twice, and can't get it, then I go to reserve. Yesterday, I went to deploy at 3500 ft., and I had a hard pull. I pulled the pc out about 5 inches, then it slipped out of my hand. When I reached again for it, I couldn't find it,( part of it was still in the boc, but the extracted length had flipped over into the burble under my rig). I went straight to silver, and was under reserve by 2400 ft. How does this differ from your ep's in the same situation.

1st reserve ride today. Did a two way with cheach, went to pitch, had a hard pull. Hackey came out 6 inches, then I lost it. I went in a second time, and it was gone, bouncing around in the burble under my rig. My rule is two and done. I went straight to silver, and that bitch opened quick. Bruised the shit out of my thighs. After I did my control check, it had a built in left turn, (I had to hold right toggle 1/4 brakes for straight flight) I decided that I wasn't comfortable to attempt a stand up, so I PLF'd off field. Pulled something in my right calf. Just numbing the pain. Put all my shit back together, and made a hop and pop, to get back on the horse.

Ok. I have jumped a Heatwave (stiletto clone) 190 at 1-1. It had a tendency to over-steer, it was touchier (is that even a word?) to asymmetrical flaring, and it opened erratically. It was fun to fly, responsive in turns compared to my Sabre. I didn't notice much of a difference in glide ratio, used my normal set up altitudes. It does have less margin for error than other canopies of the same size that are semi elliptical. What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience.
