There are A LOT of mexican places that have amazing food. WORDS TO THE WISE If there aren't any mexican's eating at the restaurant- its not a real mexican restaurant. Some traditional dishes that I love. Torta de carne asada- Its like a philly cheese steak sandwich but WAY better!! Mole de pollo- Poached shredded chicken in spicy chocolate sauce. Tacos de lengua- is good- with raw sweet onions and cilantro. I've never been a fan of tacos de seso.... Menudo- generally made on the weekends. Its a tomato based soup- with cow intenstines (its not that gross) and hominy. Topped with raw cabbage- onions- and cliantro. Eat with corn tortillas. Posole has chicken in it in lieu of cow linings. The only time I drive my car is to the drop zone. I take a train to work and walk. Its great- but the thing is- trains/buses run on gas too. Trust me- I hate the gas prices as much as every one else does. I am just fortunate to be able to commute via train. Best Girl Scout Ever.

I am part of this generation. A conversation with my coworkers made me wonder of the current state of our country and my generation. My younger sister gradudated high school sunday and I try to educate her as much as possible with great tips to help her out in the future. There are many things that I don't understand about the Millennials- despite me being one. At the grauduation there were police everywhere. The police were there to make sure that the graduation ceremony didn't become a target. I live in a town of 45,000 people and where my family makes up part of the .003 percent of the hispanic population. The town is considered upper middle class and the average price for a home is 500k. We live in a safe town- the crime rate is is low. I feel safe walking in the streets at night. However- most of the crime is not by adults, but by teenagers. The NIU massacre is located about an hour west of my town. Colombine? Virginia Tech? I saw on the news kids beating each other up to become famous? Recently a few teenagers in my town went to jail for selling cocaine- WTF?! I was sad that we can't even enjoy a celebration such as a graduation without the fear of being killed by a 18 year old kid. Has this been going on or a while now and we are just becoming more aware? What is going on here? Best Girl Scout Ever.
