    Other thread.. the 190 is the size canopy I want.. and it will be a while down the road before I get it...I was trying to say that I do not intend to go below a 190..... EVER Lots of good advice here. Definately the 2'nd from the bottom. I have stood up about 90% of my landings (and some of them have been fairly hard) I totally agree with what is being said, and the charts provided are a good guide.. seems I am well below those reccomendations already. I am not so concerned with downsizing as most people are, but I would like to get to a small enough canopy that I can rent demo gear for cheaper than I am renting student gear. (I have actually downsized at a much slower pace than some I have seen) Presently the largest they have to offer is a 200.. so.. I hope you understand my motivation.     Nice.. thanks for all of the input guys. When I suggested a 190 that was my "do not go below" threshold .. for my entire career of skydiving. I got to jump a sabre 2 at sebastian and had the best landings ever, but it opened pretty rough. I will indeed keep where I am at on the 210 and will demo the canopies named here. The largest the sunshine factory has I think is a 200 so I will have to go below a 210 to demo anything other than student gear... I have not updated my jump numbers in a while.. I am at 154 now. As for new or used that is all depending on price... My father is expecting a large lump sum check and said he would buy the gear and I could pay him back at $200 a month, which is what I'm paying for gear rentals in a month easy. I really have no idea what I'm looking for which is the reason for thread. Anything I'm not paying for by the jump would be nice. I KNOW!!! I'LL GET A KATANA!!!     What wing loading is considered advanced or high performance? I don't have a SIM on hand, but I remember it saying X wing loading is approaching high performance. My wing loading is 1.20 1.19 actually but I rounded up. Millions of my potential children died on your daughters' face last night.

    So pretty soon I am planning to buy a rig and have decided on a 190 size canopy... With my body weight I see no reason to go any lower than 190. I am currently under a 210 now with an exit weight of 250. (Bearing in mind it will be another couple of months before I have the funds to get my own rig) My question is, what type of canopy (in your opinion) is a good first canopy. I have no plans of swooping or doing anything too agressive. Spectre? Sabre 2? etc.. I really don't know that much about equipment or all the different brands / models.     I didn't see the guy name any names..... Either way.. if he paid $250.. and has to pay a bit more to have the cell repaired to have it made airworthy again.. that isn't really a rip.     the manager of the pizza joint i used to work at was stealing tips from the drivers... I got fired from that job for confronting him about it when I came up $47 short (he was the only one with keys to the box, so that is pretty dumb of him) I had noticed over a period of a week or so that what I had gotten and what he was giving me did not add up so I started writing it down. He steals my money, I confront and get fired.. he gets moved to a diff store. Go figure. Like you guys said, it is almost like begging now, like it is expected. The problem is.. if you get shitty service and don't tip, most of those people are too ignorant to realize why you didn't tip them and just call you an asshole behind your back.
