    No, but the turn signals rules are totally different.. --- Q:Example, you want to make a U-Turn, what is the proper way to do it? A: From the right hand turn lane with your right turn signal on. And then you must leave the right turn signal on for at least 2 miles after the U-Turn -- Come to the dark side

    Taking them off that one time was much better than with them on because of the way the foam was directing jets of air into my eyeballs causing them to water to the point of blindedness. Wish I had a camera for that jump to see the look on you and SS's faces..

    4 (number of hours I slept this weekend) : 6 : 2 Ah what a weekend, drove 2 hours hoping to get 3-5 loads minumum on Friday, and only managed to get on one load to 8k becuase thunderstorms moved in.. Did a free low lob on Saturday because we were training a new pilot, then did a jump from 10k, pulled at 9 under a Cobalt demo.
  14. Bimmer = BMW Cars Beemer = BMW Motorcycles Beamer = Some asshole with his brights on On a side note though. I think you should consider the gas mileage of the vehicle you buy as a fairly important factor in choosing a vehicle, as well as the vehicle cost. If either one is more than you can realistically afford, you gain nothing (IMO). I've got an SUV which I'm averaging around 13.5 mpg since I've bought it (~19000 miles so far), and which cost more than I really should have spent on a car. Sure, get something that you will enjoy and not hate to drive, but don't go overboard and buy a whole lot more vehicle than you need. I don't really use all the space that my SUV provides me with, and I hardly ever take more than 1 passenger. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten a mid-size car with better gas mileage. Think of what you will realistically be using the vehicle for, and find something that fits your average use. You can always rent/borrow a larger vehicle for the times that you will need it for cheaper than the cost of being stuck with fueling/financing the larger one. But then again, I'm young and stupid, and see that I went overboard myself, and wish I could go back and get something more economically viable for myself. You may be (and probably are) in a better financial situation than I am though. (It costs ~2.5 jump tickets to fill my gas guzzler so I can drive ~300 miles) -- Dude, where's my raft?

    RIP: my car

    http://www.nissandriven.com/vehicles/FutureVehicleDetails/0,9437,520,00.html Hrm, Nissan 350Z. Kinda looks like a cross between the 300ZX and the Toyota Supra. Don't really know anything about it, but one of my friends is raving about it. -- Dude, where's my raft?
  16. Jump 39, chopped from a main with 2 blown out end cells, hindsight, I could have probably landed it, but didn't feel comfortable with it at the time... Now the stupid part... Jump 40, PC in tow, PC wasn't cocked (not packed by me) I toss, and wait, and wait, and wait... Say to myself "Hell, I'm not going to have two reserve rides in a row..." So I wait, and wait, and wait... "Hrm...." Reach round to try to find bridle for a manual unpack, couldn't find it. Wait, and wait, and wait.... "Aww Heck" Cutaway, pull reserve "*Multiple expletive deleted*" Final approach, landing towards a friend who was there for the first cutaway also... "*More expletive deleted*"

    WAV -> MP3

    Hey all, been a long time since I've done this, but I just captured and edited a song from a DVD using Cooledit 2000, and the program that I used to use to convert to .MP3 doesn't work anymore.. any suggestions? -- Dude, where's my raft?
  19. With me, my first was a low speed, and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find the reserve handle once I had cut away, so I grabbed both, pulled red, pulled silver (kinda scary how long it took for me to feel anything happening with the reserve) -- Dude, where's my raft?
  20. Anger management courses worked too well for me.. You should have seen me this past weekend after a funneled dive from hell and then getting cut off under canopy. Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, or DZ.com Jess vs Real life Jess..
  21. Good question Hixxx, personally, I have a single kill line collapsable slider, and have been tucking the line in between the reserve risers on the right side after rolling until tight. I'm pretty sure if I chopped it I wouldn't have a problem, but am interested in hearing what the experienced people might say about this. I'm guessing it might not be good. My other idea is to have my rigger install some tabs facing downwards on my risers so when I pull the slider down the tabs will lock it down until I pull the grommets back over the tabs for repacking. I'm not sure if both kinds of riggers would be able to do this or what, just an idea I had floating in my mind. If you don't understand what I'm talking about I could sketch a pic. If it sounds like a horrible idea, I'm open to suggestions. -- Dude, where's my raft?
