There was one on the bathroom wall at Clewiston before they repainted it, but I don't remember what it said. It was like the one below, but longer (IIRC) Here I sit, buns a-flexin, Just gave birth to another Texan -- Hook high, flare on time

Hey Dove, where did you get your gear again? -- Hook high, flare on time

Awww crap, now everybody around me thinks I'm insane becuase I was laughing uncontrollably for about a minute there...

Too bad they kicked me out of Naples before I could do that. I guess it is my duty to fulfill the dream.

Hrm, need a pilot? Sounds like an idea, but renting an airplane that we are renting probably wouldn't go over too well with the FBO we rent it from. And assuming you were talking about renting it to the DZ's as a jump airplane, well that wouldn't work for a few reasons. The need to rip out all the seats/door to make it jumpable. Most places you could rent an airplane from have a 3 hour daily minumum hour charge (at around $118 for a C-182). A better plan would be to find somebody to lease an airplane from, but I think that would be difficult, at best too. I'm not trying to be the source of gloom here, I think it would be a blast and would love to do something like that. When I started skydiving a group of us would rent a 172 and fly to semi close DZ's once every couple of weeks. Much better than driving except for the no post jump beer for the pilot -- Hook high, flare on time

I did not know that... Hrm, seeing as I'm in Naples I really should work on operation "Meet a rich old lady, marry her, and inherit her money" -- Hook high, flare on time

Did we ever find out who that was? I think it's time for a lynching -- Hook high, flare on time

Glad you made it alright. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, how did the slider lock up a toggle, I'm having trouble imagining this. TIA -- Hook high, flare on time
-
Or howabout option 3 of restowing the brake that did release, at least that way you wouldn't have to fight holding a toggle on one side, and a riser on the other. I think I've got some built up complacency about this because I can't imagine how a toggle would get stuck in the first place. As it is now, sometimes I just ride the canopy with both brakes stowed and pop them (below decision altitude) while getting ready for landing set up (long spot, canopy traffic, etc) I guess I should re-think this practice and pop them after opening/stowing and just hold the canopy in brakes if I need to. -- Hook high, flare on time

Ok, correction, reserve parachute material. Thanks much BV -- Hook high, flare on time

So, basically, you're saying that new (or low jump, as in a reserve) F111 will perform as well as ZP? Sorry for my ignorance, my only experience with F111 is from back on student status/reserve rides. -- Hook high, flare on time

I was thinking about this at the DZ Sunday, but the rigger was out of town so I didn't really have anybody to ask. Why are most (if not all) reserves F-111? -- Hook high, flare on time

What would you do if you were forced to upsize by 100sq feet.

Back up on landing... That would take a big bite out of my enjoyment of the sport. No matter how much I screw up a FF dive I can usually make up for it with a fun and exciting canopy flight. Why do you ask anyway? -- Hook high, flare on time -

If it makes you feel better the pilot had to cutaway the banner today, and somebody stole it before anybody could get to it... Mucho money, gone -- Hook high, flare on time

Eh, don't worry about what other people think. It's all about you. I'll bet a lot of the naysayers wouldn't have a boat/hottub...

That's a tough call, I think it's one of thos "Grass is greener" type things... I made it through college living on my own, but now I'm kindof wishing I could be living at home again so I could spend more money on things I like doing, as opposed to rent/utilities. But then again I do remember how glad I was to get out and to be free. I guess it's something that you have to evaluate on your own, think back to how you felt living at home (not just the good things). Tough call. -- Hook high, flare on time

Eh, I started out using something like a 2 foot piece of spectra before somebody got me a powertool as a gift. I'm still at the point where I prefer the spectra because it's quicker than putting the string on and taking it off of the powertool, but like the powertool, especially on overstuffed tandems, because of the extra pull force I can get out of it. Try both, find somebody that has a powertool you can try for a day. -- Hook high, flare on time

Hehe, forgot you were here too.. What days is Z-hills open? Been meaning to make it up there for awhile now. -- Hook high, flare on time
